Zone Letting Scam Agents ! We decided to go ahead with a property with Zone Lettings due to the current pandemic we were not allowed to view the property and the online viewing was also no good as the tenant made a rubbish video. We Paid just over £1,400 to Zone as Ross had requested the amount to secure the property. Once we had the keys myself and my wife went to have a quick look over the property and it was in a very very very bad state, they told my wife it had been professionally cleaned which it hadn’t been there was Cobwebs all over the walls, there was car fur all on the floor and fur balls in the radiators, there were stains on the walls which could be cat urine or anything else ! There were dirty plates in the kitchen which still had food in them upon questioning them about this they told my wife they leave items such as plates and cutlery for the next tenant in case they need it ! This is what they are doing during COVID ! Putting new tenants at risk ! My wife is a very bad asmatic and for them to be so neglecting and unprofessional ! When it came to asking for our money back they came out with every excuse possible not to give my money back they tried to say the landlord may cut some money out my payment as rent until they can’t rent it out. When i threatened them with legal action they returned my money within minutes. I would defiantly recommend staying away from these guys even the receptionist was so disrespectful and unprofessional, she had no respect what so ever she was raising her voice and fighting ! Never go to these guys they are liars and unprofessional people who will do anything to take your money then try every trick in the book not to give it back !

The flat had been cheaply refurbished The flat had been cheaply refurbished, to such an extent that light fittings were visibly loose - one spontaneously fell from the ceiling to smash on the floor next to my flatmate. The process of terminating the lease prior to the end date was revealing. Expect a hugely inflated fee (£300!) for the re-advertising of the property. We negotiated to find a new tenant ourselves, and found a friend who was willing to take over. We were then instructed that the landlord would need a FULL YEAR of rent UPFRONT for reasons of 'extra security'. Of course, that was not feasible nor remotely appropriate. When we finally broke free, the flat was relisted with no such mention of a lump-sum down-payment. Our friend had a guarantor lined up and a full-time job, and so I remain suspicious of the motives behind their demands and would refrain from ever dealing with the team again. Having been passed across approximately 5 different members of the Zone Letting team, as our back-and-forths became too convoluted for some to address, I have mixed opinions. Some are underqualified in customer relations while others are much better at responding without too much condescension. Policies, however, seemed to run very much one-way, and best practice in communication was laughable.

Professional team! Big issues but all sorted! While we had HUGE problems with the apartment we rented via Zone (ceiling falling, rats, gas leak), Zone made sure to take care of us, and sort issues with Landlord. I wasn't expecting this to be honest, but they took care of everything, really professional in the end! Team is reasonable, few issues at first (misunderstandings), but professional otherwise.

Criminals & Scammers The worst renting company I've been through by a long stretch. Calling them awful would be far from reality: the agents, especially one named Ross, have no communication whatsoever with the landlords and get easily & unnecessarily angry regarding contract cancellations for let properties. The property we rented had sewage (human waste right under our bedroom windows), humidity & pest infestation problems which we uncovered after moving in. Avoid like the plague! Good riddance to these thieves and liars.

Unhelpful conniving thieves DO not go with this company. I have had the worst experience, rented a flat for 2 years, had a leak which was not fixed for over 1 and a half years, the balcony was deemed unsafe when we moved in and was never fixed the entire residency. They then had the audacity to try and charge us for this. They also gave us incorrect move out details, so we moved out a week early, and instead of being held accountable for their mistake, they came back after we had moved out and charged us an extra weeks rent including council tax, and electricity bills for a property that we had evacuated as per the checkout email. Unhelpful, conniving thieves.
