GBYou could just throw your money in a river I've had a policy with APHW for over ten years and made my first claim today. My HVAC unit nearly caught on fire and they will not cover any part of the repair, labor or parts because it is under a manufacturer's parts-only warranty for two more years. Listen when people tell you not to trust this company, they will find a way not to pay your claim and there's nothing you can do about it.

GBThere is a reason why customers pay for insurance... coverage. This company can be improved by actually covering appliance issues. We purchased a new home; within a couple of months the most important things went out, our fridge and the AC unit. No fridge or AC during the summer with a young teen, preteen and an infant. Obviously, we were not living in the home long enough for the issues to be our fault. When I inquired about actually speaking with someone that should have been able to help with alternative options, I was sent a cancellation letter with no one to speak with as opposed to a representative attempting to work on fixing the issue. I should have done more research on this company. A waste of money, will not be renewing =) Also, these reviews are deplorable.

GBMore of the same Update: They never called. More of the same. Plumber called to diagnose clogged basement floor drain, installed under flooring in basement (100 year old house, old house things...) had to rip up floor to find source of leak. Explained to APHW process, plumber proceeds, finds drain clog caused by corroded drain cover. Replaces cover. Problem solved. APHW denies claim, stating drain covers are not part of plumbing system. Left with holes in floors, and 800 dollar bill. Canceling policy.

GBTotal scam Total scam. Hidden rules and deceitful advertising. Everyone can see your award winning customer service by reading your reviews. I have worked with 3 home warranty companies in the past ten years and they are by far the worst.

GBStraight up fraud- don't even bother APHW stated that they would only pay 200.00 of the 550.00 repair. As I questioned this, the warranty representative stated that 200.00 is the maximum that would be paid for the repair. I looked over my contract and nowhere does it state maximum paid prices or does it have a menu of component repairs and prices. I bought this contract with the assurance that only the deductible would have to be paid upon a given repair. This company is misleading their customers.
