Horrible Company to deal with My trip was to Israel in Nov of 2023. Terrisoum was a covered item and it's Jan 9, 2024 and the claims department keeps saying that the determination has not been made by the underwriter. These people are not worth the headache. Going back to Allianz for my next policy!!!

Tin Leg Travel NONInsurance I have bought 5 Tin Leg travel insurance policies and only made a claim on my last trip. Traveling to Houston I became very ill and spent 6 days in the hospital. For the past 6 months they have asked for alot of the same information over and over and there is no way to simply call and talk with your insurance person. So you email and email giving them all the info they want. Finally they told me to show them what I've paid and they will let me know what they will cover. I have an over $50k bill from the hospital - I was very ill... I'm also not in a position to pay $50k. They are saying the policy states they only reimburse. So after 6 months of communication I have paid for nonexistent travel insurance. The policy stated it covered up to$250k in medical expenses, but never that you paid it first. I've started a claim with Better Business Bureau and next I'm going to look into a class action suit. I'll bet others will join in. I travel several times a year, next time I'll use Allianz.

Waste of money and time! Waste of money and time! After having to cut short trip to middle east due to Hamas invasion on Israel, I had to alter travel plans that were "supposed" to be covered by my expensive Tinleg travel insurance. It is now 5 months since I have submitted my claim, 5 (five!) different interchanges with their claims department wanting more and more information. The latest request was to see a copy of our boarding pass from our shortened trip!!! Shameful!

Poor service from Tin Leg I purchased a travel policy for a very expensive safari to Tanzania. I posted a small claim, about 5%, of the total amount insured for extra expenses incurred when a regional flight from Kilimanjaro to Nairobi was reschedule 2 hours later than planned and would have caused me to miss my flight back to the US. I had to reschedule on a different airline an earlier flight. I found out about the change by email the night before departure and spent 3 hours in the bush trying to get through and have never been able to. I have submitted the requested information 4 times to Tin Leg and each time they ask for more including policies from the small Kenyan airline which I have explained doesn't exist. I provide a letter of explanation from the Travel Agent in S Africa that booked the whole trip verifying the details of the problem. The ball keeps moving. Do NOT insure your trip with Tin Leg.

Don't Use Tin Leg Travel Insurance Company! In October I fractured two vertebra in a boating accident on a remote island in the Galapagos. There was no hospital and no MRI available so my condition was not diagnosed until I returned to the US. However, the pain of two fractured vertebra was so severe, the next day I could not climb into the small prop plane that was the only way off the island. I had to rebook my flight and it took two days before I was able to move enough to get onto the plane. I asked to be reimbursed for the cost of the new plane flight and was told I had to have a letter from a doctor saying I could not leave on the appointed plane, but the doctor did not know my back was broken because he didn't have the equipment to diagnose it, so no letter was possible. I provided documentation of my condition when I returned to US and had an MRI but Tin Leg refused reimburse me for the changed flight.
