How to get duped When I only could give 0 stars – Here’s why: In 10/3023 I bought 2 five-year HSC warranty contracts for 2 rentals. At one rental I filed a claim with HSC on Monday, January 8th 2024 in the morning, because the water heater seemed to be not working. A technician will contact me, HSC said. When NO technician contacted me, on Tuesday I called the technician’s company and asked, when they will inspect the water heater and the answer was: Friday. I told them that is not acceptable to have no hot water for so long in the winter. Finally, they sent a technician on Wednesday. Thursday, I asked HSC, they declined the claim because of corrosion. The technician told me, that he didn’t mention corrosion in his report. It is not acceptable to take so much time for a decision - and for no corrosion stated in the report. I canceled the contract. For the other rental I canceled the contract as well – with no claim, because I don’t need a contract for nothing. I paid for 2 five-year contracts for two rentals $3,899.70 and after only 3 month and no approved claim they only refunded $2,313.96. The difference is and I paid: $1,585.74. That’s why I can NOT recommend Home Service Club.

The Home Service Club say I that… The Home Service Club say I that evaporator coil is physically damaged and leaking due to rust and/or erosion and is installed with incorrect freon pressure, which are all exclusions of coverage under the home warranty. Base on information obtained for this claim, the unit did not enter the policy in proper working condition. This makes no since. They keep hanging up on me when I call and won't let you talk to management.

THEY KEPT PROMISING A TECHNICIAN WILL ARRIVE. SO FAR, IT IS JUST AN EMPTY PROMISE. THE WORST HOME WARRANTY INSURANCE I EVER DEALT WITH. AND THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. WHEN YOU CALL THEM, THEY TELL YOU HOW SORRY THEY ARE ABOUT YOUR SITUATION, THEY SAY THEY CAN NOT FIND A TECHNICIAN TO DO THE REPAIRS. THE QUESTION IS: IF A WARRANTY COMPANY DOES NOT HAVE TECHNICIANS TO DO THE REPAIRS, HOW DOES THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA ALLOW THEM TO BE LICENSED IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. THESE COMPANIES CHARGE CUSTOMERS THEIR MONTHLY FEE BUT, WHEN IT COMES TO REPAIRS, THEY ACT AS IF THEY DON'T KNOW YOU, AND THEY KNOW THAT THEY DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER TO ANY AUTHORITIES. I FILED WITH THE CALIFORNIA INSURANCE COMMISSIONER, THIS OFFICE IS JUST A NAME, THEY DON'T HAVE ANY AUTHORITY OVER SCAMMERS LIKE THESE WARRANTY COMPANIES.

I am a real customer I am a real customer, with HSC policies on THREE different properties, based on these reviews. These reviews must be fake or bot generated. Customer Service agents are customer facing, answer the phone but know nothing and have to 'contact the proper department'. 5 of my 6 issues were not covered (sink faucets, shower valves, slow draining sink's) . Once you file a claim on-line, there is no way to check status on-line without calling in, to those same polite but unhelpful agents. NOTE that the $65 call out fee is for diagnostics, even if your issue isn't covered. The work won't be done the day the technician finally arrives, but instead will be scheduled later, and only if Home Warranty Club approves the claim. (1675) 281400 (2712) 281402 (24) 281405

HSC please resolve client issues This company is not a scam but has terrible customer service. I have had a broken HVAC since 10 days but with no resolution or even an indication what the next steps are. I have called every day twice and I keep getting told that the “proper department” is looking at it and they will call me back. At this point the senior management should look into it before enough consumers join for a class action against it for risks they are exposing children’s and elderly to in summer months with these delays.
