GBif i could give 0 stars i would if i could give 0 stars i would. My mom had to open a claim for my elderly grandfather in 2020 due to major leak in the roof which caused the ceiling in the room to cave in. A year ago i had to replace the roof with my own money because waiting for them wasn't going to make anything better. We are now in 2022 and the claim is still OPEN. You call, they take forever to answer and when they do answer they say they will have someone call you back and they do NOT. I emailed the universal attorney that is working on this case with the power of attorney and also my grandmothers death certificate and they have yet to reply. As an insurance agent myself this is probably one of the WORST home insurance companies to insure your home with. STAY WAY !!

GBAbsolutely horrible experience with… Absolutely horrible experience with this company. I am a year into a claim with no resolution. My home had a roof leak with mold damage. A year later, our family remains in this home as the insurance company fails to send needed documentation to my mortgage company. I have never experienced such poor communication. My next step in dealing with this is contacting an attorney. Do NOT use this company.

GBAdayshia Adayshia, the rep I spoke with on phone, solved my problem in record time without transferring me or losing me. Their App, of course, was as worthless as all the customer service Apps I waste time on before calling, but I only gave it a chance because it was too early to call. The info it gave was confusing (I'm a math. physicist), disturbing, and wrong. Just call. Calling shortly after they open seems to be a good strategy to avoid waiting.

GB100% Recommended As a young adult I would never insure my new home with any other company! Great customer service and guidance towards the best option for me. My parents recommended after their 15 year relationship with them and I shall refer my kids when its their time! Most companies are only interested in dollar signs but Universal has set the standards for truly caring for their clients for the long term. Thank you for the help team! Luciana
