Don't give them your phone number Don't give them your phone number, they will keep calling and continuously press to take the same offer, even though I told them at least 5/6 times that I am not interested in, they kept calling me.

I called just to get some very basic… I called just to get some very basic information. The person I spoke with was very aggressive to sell me, and I kept trying to explain that I was only after information, that I was not going to sign up immediately. I wanted information to consider and think about. Eventually he was so rude that I hung up on him. I will never give business to a company that browbeats me into agreeing to something I've explained I'm not ready to do.

Be warned about parts Started a claim on my vehicle with CarChex. I have been paying $109.99 monthly for warranty coverage. My claim was denied because the part in question on the transmission was not covered even though I am paying for "Bumper -to- Bumper" (Powertrain Plus) coverage on my vehicle. The total charge for part and repair is $829.47. To date I have made a total of $879.92 which would have covered the cost of the repair. Why should I continue to pay for "Bumper -to- Bumper" coverage when my contract with CARCHEX does not honor the coverage. It would be better for me to take the $109.99 and put it into savings, thus when I needed a repair, I can pay for it myself which is what I am doing NOW. My warning " Carchex covers your engine and transmission but do not cover parts that are associated with making those item work well and that is the catch. Thus, you will be responsible for the part and labor for that part or parts. for example, if a sensor went out that caused your engine not to run or blow fuses. You are responsible for the repairs and parts because it's not the engine. and the cost could be substantial.

Will not honor warranty They did not honor warranty on the repair of the turbo in an Audi A6, although industry standardi is to replace turbo. The adjuster suggested to replace the actuator sensor instead of turbo. Also the warranty company only honored $400 of the $1200 needed to repair the actuator. They came up with their own pricing for payouts leaving the consumer to pay the bulk of the repair. The warranty cost me $3000 and is useless to me.

Researched several warranty companies Researched several warranty companies. Some were vague on the coverage, others were just ridiculous on pricing and time frames. Actually had began a contract with one BUT Red Flags came up! when I called and questioned them about it, they got very defensive and argumentative. Did not like that, figure this would be a sample of dealing with them on a CLAIM! Cancelled that one! Overall was pleased with purchasing, price terms and length of contract. Not all that crazy about the "Grace" period, but I'll make it work!
