GBI would give carchex zero star I would give carchex zero star for there coverage and business. Stay away from them. Their coverage is misleading. I purchased the extended warranty for $3100 which it should be the best. Unfortunately they refused to cover the catalytic convertor of my 2016 F150. When I asked to terminate the deal they refused to pay back what they owe. The good news is I took the car to Ford dealership and purchased a new extended warranty fixed for $1750 but they covered and changed me only $100 deductible.

GBWill not honor warranty They did not honor warranty on the repair of the turbo in an Audi A6, although industry standardi is to replace turbo. The adjuster suggested to replace the actuator sensor instead of turbo. Also the warranty company only honored $400 of the $1200 needed to repair the actuator. They came up with their own pricing for payouts leaving the consumer to pay the bulk of the repair. The warranty cost me $3000 and is useless to me.

GBResearched several warranty companies Researched several warranty companies. Some were vague on the coverage, others were just ridiculous on pricing and time frames. Actually had began a contract with one BUT Red Flags came up! when I called and questioned them about it, they got very defensive and argumentative. Did not like that, figure this would be a sample of dealing with them on a CLAIM! Cancelled that one! Overall was pleased with purchasing, price terms and length of contract. Not all that crazy about the "Grace" period, but I'll make it work!

GBExtended Warranties are a Rip off. I learned from experience what financial advisors Dave Ramsey and Suze Orman said, "Extended warranties are a rip off." I would have done better by putting the $3,000.00 I paid CarChex into a savings account and I would have earned interest. I also would have the money to pay cash for my car's repair. I had problems with my 2019 Cadillac XTS. The total cost for the repair was $3,332.74. CarChex/American Auto Shield paid only $946.45. I had to pay the balance of $2,385.74 I paid CarChex $3,000.00 upfront several years ago, and this is the first time I have filed a claim.

GBNot big hype or pressure Not big hype or pressure. No lies or knocking competitors. Honest, frank and professional. Hung in while I did more research and was happy to join into their protection. Simple and easy and a bit more expensive than other companies, but more covered (like emissions components....unlike other places) and the friendliness of their staff is incredible. Money is not always an end all for selection. Thanks for sticking with me and making my life more relaxed and comfortable with the coverage.
