GBHonestly Honestly, their app picks and chooses what it counts toward rewards. You get “vitality points” for what seems like no reason But they’re actually fairly useless. I have the Apple Watch reward through them and I spent months paying because their app didn’t register my workouts half the time. They say “get x number of workouts to spin the vitality wheel” I’ve been stuck on 8 out of 10 for over a week. Even though I hit their ever changing requirements every time. I’ve brought these issues their attention and they only offered excuses and blame. It’s all a bit of a sham really.

GBHorrible product, horrible service. My (ex) financial advisor sold me an annuity, claiming it was an investment. It seemed very complicated but I trusted him. After we parted ways, I looked into it, and found that this really profited the company (and probably him). It is worth less than when I bought it, after many years, and they take their cut no matter what. The company denies any responsibility. To make matters worse, the customer service is bad. I had to call many times to find out what was going on. Today, for some reason the website did not work (I was just trying to get their phone number). I had to call their tech support who could not explain it, so had to get a new password. Then I called, was verified, was finally transferred to an agent who wanted to verify me yet again (3rd time today, 2nd time in that call). I hung up in disgust.

GBBe Warned!!! Please beware of this company that preys on the elderly! My parents have been paying into their JH long term care plan since 1997. This last year, while tending to my father as he was dying, my 83 year old mother became eligible to start her long term care payments. But because during this time of stress she lost track of her account and missed 4 payments, the account was reduced so she can only recoup 20% of what she paid into it. So she paid $42,000 into the account over 21 years, and now that she is in assisted living and needs the income she has been paying for, the most she can receive back is $8400, which covers about 2 months. Please read the fine print and make sure someone is managing your account if you go with this company. But better not to take on John Hancock because if you slip up one time, you will lose.

GBI love my insurance BUT... I love my insurance and I particularly love the vitality program! I have enjoyed every minute of “paying for my Apple Watch” through working out and through getting healthier! I’ve run wayyyyy more in my year of having vitality. But I will say I’m a little concerned that I did not receive any cash back like I was told I would for reaching the platinum level in my first year. I’ve sent several emails to try figure out if it was a mistake and I get no response. If that had gone as planned I would have easily 5 starred this review but now I’m doubting I will get what was promised when I signed up for my life insurance.

GBsimply the best: hassle-free, affordable, quick I started looking for life insurance a month ago, after letting my former 20-year term policy lapse in January. Reached out to a couple of generic online insurance aggregators, called my car & home insurance broker, etc. Everything was a huge hassle: forms that needed to be downloaded, printed, signed, scanned, and appointments, etc. Then I got a call from a John Hancock agent. After just an hour and quick digital permission to reach out to my primary care physician to get the results of a recent physical, it was DONE. Same day. No hassle, no forms. Simply amazing. And at a better price than any of the other plans I was looking at.
