Get nothing but a run around Mind you this is still ongoing...my husbands mother passed at 97 in November 2023, father in 2012. Policy was on both parents so both had to pass. Sent EVERYTHING including death certificates for both in December. Re-sent in January because they "lost" everything. We call every week and get nothing but different excuses for not sending out the death benefit. "another dept accidently received it, give us 48 hours" Sure. Right. Call again... "Can't figure out the amount" (we have a statement). "It hasn't been 10 days" Wow, I'm pretty sure it has. "it will be in the mail in another couple of weeks" Oh and the best one is "it will only be half the amount" (did I mention we have a statement) And just so everyone is aware, they do not pay interest on money that they "hang on to". We have since filled a claim with the insurance commissioner in our state.

JH Customer Service Sucks! A former employer rolled over my 401K to an annuity with John Handcock. I have been on the phone for over two hours, transferred to other departments all over the world, and still am no closer to getting this resolved. What a complete waste of time. I saw other reviews that put JH in a very terrible light. I now know why they received the reviews the did...their customer service sucks!

Horrible product, horrible service. My (ex) financial advisor sold me an annuity, claiming it was an investment. It seemed very complicated but I trusted him. After we parted ways, I looked into it, and found that this really profited the company (and probably him). It is worth less than when I bought it, after many years, and they take their cut no matter what. The company denies any responsibility. To make matters worse, the customer service is bad. I had to call many times to find out what was going on. Today, for some reason the website did not work (I was just trying to get their phone number). I had to call their tech support who could not explain it, so had to get a new password. Then I called, was verified, was finally transferred to an agent who wanted to verify me yet again (3rd time today, 2nd time in that call). I hung up in disgust.

Faulty app I think if you have the app open to time your workout and it comes time to submit and you gets “oops something went wrong “ . There should be some way for this vitality app to still have the information that the work out took place at the gym location and time. Having to mow provide proof of work out because of faulty app is annoying. It happens too often. Defeat the purpose of using the app.

Rewards are awesome I have the vitality life insurance plan. I love it, and it’s nice to get rewards for being active. I have an Apple Watch through this plan and I haven’t had to pay anything on it because of exercise goals I meet. Definitely would recommend
