GBHorrible technology for 2020 Horrible technology for 2020. Horrible customer service. They provide poor service for what they are paid for. Doorbell camera hasn't worked in over a year. The garage camera won't pick up motion. My trail cam beside it picks up 20x what this camera picks up. Customer service gets you nowhere when you call. Stay the h*** away from Northstar Security.

GBZero Star...CRIMINALS is what comes to… Zero Star...CRIMINALS is what comes to mind when dealing with this company. Tried to get ahold of this company since the beginning of the year to cancel my 5-year contract only to say that it can't be terminated until May when contract expires. When May comes around any I call to cancel, they said I needed to cancel in writing within 60 days of contract expiring. As a result, contract extended an additional 18 months. This company is the exact reason I will never deal with ANY company that tries to sell me something at the door. Pitiful excuse of a company!!!!

GBNever sign with NorthStar We were not told we were signing a 5 year contract, something we NEVER have/would have done for something other than something like a car loan. Poor quality and workmanship, so much so that we barely even used the system before we gave up as even after being “repaired” multiple times, it never worked We are imprisoned by the company and cannot get out of our contract even tho we moved 3 years ago and are renting the home Rude employees Overpriced Overall, one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any company. GBStay away from this company Stay away from this company. Had an alarm system that was under contract for 5 years. System never ever worked, bad equipment, bad service and when I had to move, no help. These people would not compromise so I wound up paying for nothing for 3.5 years. Now contract is up and they are telling me it was automatically extended because I did not notify them in writing. What a nightmare. Not only did I pay $4000 for nothing, I have had to spend a considerable amount of time trying to get them off my back.

GBSo… perhaps an update is needed So… perhaps an update is needed. Northstar is still harassing us!! They originally said it would cost over1,000.00 to void our contract. Then 800.00, then 400.00. We talked to customer service and they agreed to 110.00. Now, they say we will have to go to court to settle.,Their story changes with each representative.,We originally would have fulfilled our contract. Then it broke down filling the house with alarm beeping non stop. After 10 calls to Northstar, we finally dismantled it ourselves, and went with a different company for safety reasons. We are a medically fragile household. One representative is ruder and dumber than next. So, court it is. Proceeds will go to St Jude’s Hospital.
