GBGo in with eyes wide open!!!! The staff is extremely nice and it takes awhile to get an appointment once you watch their video and fill in the form. Once they call, I was told that my insurance approved the surgery. Free consultation would be my first appointment. My husband went with me and once he heard how amazing the surgery would be to my life he was stoked and he signed up too. While sitting there, we were told this procedure needed to be done and that procedure needed be done, a total of 7-8 needed to be done within the 6-month wait time for surgery. I understand they wanted to make sure there were no issues beforehand but we felt it was extreme. Also, when we cancelled the entire thing due to my own health issues, my husband and I got each a $800-something bill. The first consultation ended up not being free. Let's not forget that when we would go in for the surgery, we still needed to pay out of pocket $5,000.00 each. Now we have really awesome insurance and with my own health issues, we have met our deductible so why so much if I was approved. Keep your eyes wide open if you go here.

GBI would choose another weight loss program Appointment wait times in the office are the longest I have ever experienced with any healthcare provider ( well over an hour ) this is every appointment. Have not been able to get the information I need for my insurance company to process and pay my surgical bills. Have made several calls and sent emails requesting the needed information to get my claims paid without success, situation has been going on now for 4+ months. The information I did receive was for a bill that was already paid. The billing department is not responsive to my insurance companies request. There are several providers in Phoenix area that get good results, I would choose a different weight loss program.

GBVERY misleading! I was not told that the initial consultation costs $375. They also try to get you to stay out of network with your insurance. They get to make more money that way. When insisted on staying in network, they want to add all of these fees onto the bill that would be in addition to your deductible and max out of pocket. So I have to pay a "retainer fee" for a surgeon just because I want to stay in network and save money? My out of network max is $12,000.00. When I asked how much it was going to cost me if I stayed out of network they couldn't give me a straight answer. All I was told was, "We're not going to charge you $12,000.00." Sorry if I won't take your word for it. Threw up several red flags for me, but the surprise consult bill was the final straw. Be cautious. Edit: I have now gotten another EOB from my insurance showing another charge for a visit of $521.40 along with $363.00 for an EKG that they did NOT do and $180.40 for them to poke my finger to check my sugar. The bills keep coming even though I only went once. Tell me how I am charged for a physician twice in one visit!? Sounds fraudulent to me! Beware!

GBWLIA said yes! After researching the Lap-Band procedure for several years, I completed the entire pre-op process with a competitor who was not able to get me approved for the Lap-Band. So I tried to do the weight loss thing on my own YET AGAIN for almost a year. Then I saw a commercial for WLIA , and thought to give the process a try again, and all went so smooth, it was like I should have gone through WLIA all along. I am a couple months post surgery and so thankful for this life style change. WLIA said yes, when others did nothing.
