About Snug Safety

Snug is a daily check-in service for people living alone. Whether you're a senior living independently, someone with epilepsy, or someone with Type 1 Diabetes, Snug is a daily check-in so you can feel comfortable and reassured. When you open the Snug app and tap the big green button to check in, you get a friendly and positive quote of the day. And that’s it, you’re done for the day! Every morning, you’ll have the same experience. But if you miss your selected check-in time, you will first get a reminder notification on their smartphone. And if you don’t respond after multiple reminders, their emergency contacts will be notified and given their last known location.

Peace of Mind My daughter suggested this website a few years ago. I've been checking in daily ever since (even on vacation with her so I don' get out of the habit!). It's given both of us tremendous peace of mind and several of my friends are now using it.

Snug Safety seems wonderful so far Snug Safety seems wonderful so far. I signed up earlier this week for the free service and have so far "checked in" for 2 days and I feel much better about living alone.

This is a great app for older seniors… This is a great app for older seniors living alone who are not living with a serious chronic illness. It provides assurance that, in case of an emergency, they would not be alone more than 24 hours.

Sense of security I am currently using Snug and because I live alone I find that it gives me a sense of security knowing that if I don't check in, someone will be notified to check on me. It is very easy to use, and I enjoy the daily quote, too.

Anyone else find it weird that Snug App… Anyone else find it weird that Snug App had a handful of positive reviews in 2019, then one or two in 2020 through 2023, and suddenly beginning at the end of 2023 (Nov/Dec) and beginning of 2024 they have like 25 five star reviews? Someone trying to make their app look better than it is perhaps?? I signed up for Snug this weekend (free account), and my “emergency contacts” I put in have yet to receive the notification they were supposed to receive that they have been added (3 days later). I have not yet received a single text from Snug, or any confirmation that I am set up with them, though I have been checking in every day since I signed up three days ago. Tomorrow I will “skip” my check-in to find out: Do they actually text you to remind you? Do they actually contact your emergency contacts? Right now I am fairly dubious, based on the reviews I read and their (lack of) action so far.
