About PowerBlock

PowerBlock, Inc. was founded in 1991 by specialty fitness equipment designers who became friends while designing equipment for several companies including Parabody and Cybex. While searching for specific needs in the fitness industry, they were drawn to the large amounts of dumbbells they would encounter in the specialty fitness stores they visited. There had to be a better way of providing fitness enthusiasts with the performance advantage of hand weights without the space and restrictions of old fashioned racks and dumbbells. It was here the idea for PowerBlock was born. After two years of extensive testing, PowerBlock began sales of the newly coined "selectorized dumbbell". Since then, PowerBlock has continued to be the leader in the fitness industry as we constantly strive to out do ourselves in the pursuit of excellence.

Perfection redefined!! These dumbells are the perfect solution for the serious lifter who is limited on space. I'm military and moving constantly, these go with me wherever I end up in the world, the compact design makes them easy to pack across the states and overseas. The construction is durable enough to handle daily abuse from an Infantryman and then some, thank you for such a quality product!

Super helpful posters I ordered the exercise posters from Power Block web site and they came very quickly. Love the laminated quality. They are pinned up to the wall in my newly created exercise room right above my PowerBlock weights. The exercise posters (with pictures) are easy to follow and well organized by muscle group (ex. Legs, abs, chest, back, arms). No more having to flip through my PDF printouts from the web. Gives a nice professional looking touch to my new home gym.

The weight is off -- it is not a 5… The weight is off -- it is not a 5 pound handle. It is 7.5 pounds, which offsets the entire thing. They are aware of this when you email them and don't seem to care. Also, with the Pro Series it's nearly impossible to do overhead lat extensions which I used to be able to do with the classic set because there's a bar between the bottom of the weight, which they appear to strategically avoid showing you in any of the pictures.

Kettleblock Handle is Great I was a little hesitant about purchasing the Kettleblock handle, worried how functional it would be compared to an actually kettlebell, but I am very pleased. I love the handle. Only think that I was confused about was the weights it says is on the kettleblock for each color plate. They weren't adding up, but I figured it out.

Great company, good products. We've made three purchases from PowerBlock and had no issues whatsoever with billing, shipping, or the condition of the products. The U series are our favorite adjustables. They aren't a perfect design, I would give the U70's 4/5 stars, but they seem to be the best adjustable dumbbells out there, and they are extremely high quality, they work exactly as advertised.
