GBMy college has recently implemented… My college has recently implemented these for team lifting and they are very awkward and hard to deal with, while they do save space they make lifts which were once easy more difficult because of the strange block shape. Furthermore, the options for weight selections are very strange starting at 12.5 and adding weight on from there meaning we are left with options such as 67.5 and that makes selecting weight very difficult.

GBThe weight is off -- it is not a 5… The weight is off -- it is not a 5 pound handle. It is 7.5 pounds, which offsets the entire thing. They are aware of this when you email them and don't seem to care. Also, with the Pro Series it's nearly impossible to do overhead lat extensions which I used to be able to do with the classic set because there's a bar between the bottom of the weight, which they appear to strategically avoid showing you in any of the pictures.

GBPurchased the Sport EXP Stage 1 along … Purchased the Sport EXP Stage 1 along with the sheet metal stand and power bench. I rate the dumbbells at 5 stars, excellent quality. I rate the sheet metal stand at 4 stars, has more flex than it should for the cost. Finally, I rate the power bench at 4 stars, solidly made however the design allows a bit of wobble side to side when lifting on it, both the seat and the back rest. Also, the design of the feet contribute to the wobbliness when used on carpet. Overall, very usuable and I recommend the system, very compact footprint and a lot of work can be done very quickly with this system.

GBPowerblock weights I like how the weights are interchangeable but I think the opening to grab the handle should be much wider. I also think the metal parts should be covered with rubber. When I do exercises that require one dumbell and you switch from one hand to the other, I cannot get my hand inside to grab the handle to switich hands and have cut my hand 3 times. I try grabbing the outside but hurts my hand holding onto all the metal bars.

GBGood but needs design upgrades Powerblocks are great. I got the straight bar to do even more. It has many advantages but a huge drawback is that it does not rotate, so if you want to do anytype of crossfit dynamic moves- like cleans, jerks, hang cleans, etc- your hands will get torn up.
