Forever Grateful For These Memories I shopped around to send in our precious family photo albums to be scanned. ScanCafe had the best prices around the holidays and customer service was great. All the pictures came out great and they enhanced a few that were looking really tattered. My family loved the photos as a Christmas gift and we are forever grateful to have these memories safely saved digitally now.

Highly recommend - have used for over a decade I've been using ScanCafe for over a decade - I've done probably a dozen or so projects with them so far. Every single time they have exceeded my expectations. The scans are well done, the shipping is timely, etc. Most importantly, for someone who is very fastidious about something like family memories, they are very communicative and responsive throughout the process.

Scammy gimmicks Unbelievably scammy behavior -- they have you estimate the number of photos to be scanned and charge you based on that estimate, promising a refund if you overestimate. What they don't tell you is that the refund comes in the form of a GIFT CARD? That can only be used for MORE SCANS!? They also include upsells in your final checkout basket you didn't ask for, like photo touch-ups. I highly suggest you go elsewhere. ------ ** UPDATE, after ScamCafe response ** Please think about how little sense your response makes. Why does having a gift card, with 16 alphanumeric characters I have to enter somewhere alongside any regular payment information, "facilitate their projects and also the time they spend on them"? How does that save anyone time?? Same with the undisclosed $10 recurring monthly cloud fee. If you see your Wharton Bro founders in the hallway, please tell them to go do something very pleasant to themselves for me.

ScanCafe mostly did what it promised ScanCafe mostly did what it promised, but there is one issue that I will report. I randomly sampled a few of the scans and found at least 1/3 were flipped around the vertical axis. This will happen if you are scanning the wrong side of a 35mm slide. This is a mistake they should not be making, and they need to train their staff to avoid it. I sent them a note about this back in November 2023 and hope they have rectified this.

I have been using this service for years! I have been using this service for many years. They handled my precious photos and slides very well and produced wonderful digital images as I requested. I recently had to ask a favor of their customer service department as I had really old scans that I wanted to download and they had archived them. They responded quickly and I was able to download the scans in a convenient zip file for use. I love this company and I recommend them highly!!!
