GBAble to view photos from 1946 film negatives I found three rolls of negatives from pictures my father had taken after I was born in 1946. Many weren't very good pictures, but several were priceless. Really glad I did it. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it took longer than expected to get the results.

GBHas been great, but this order was bumpy I have had numerous fantastic experiences with ScanCafe, but not the last one. Prints and documents were scanned fine on this order, but film negative scans were originally processed with great orange streaks, then re-scanned at my request with copious dust. The dust issue was corrected with a second request. I specifically asked them to be attentive to colors, and many of the negative scans looked washed out, but the white balance was about right. This was not corrected after I demonstrated the problem and a simple resolution. I will be considering other services for my next order.

GBHighly recommend - have used for over a decade I've been using ScanCafe for over a decade - I've done probably a dozen or so projects with them so far. Every single time they have exceeded my expectations. The scans are well done, the shipping is timely, etc. Most importantly, for someone who is very fastidious about something like family memories, they are very communicative and responsive throughout the process.

GBIf you are in market to digitize any…don't look any further! If you are in market to digitize any old photography, don't look any further...Scan Cafe did a flawless job with digitizing old slides. They came back better than I ever could have imagined. The staff was always there to answer my questions...with a great attitude I should say..just an all around great experience with wonderful pricing ...I can't wait to do the photos and films!! Thank You for bringing smiles to our family..

GBScanCafe mostly did what it promised ScanCafe mostly did what it promised, but there is one issue that I will report. I randomly sampled a few of the scans and found at least 1/3 were flipped around the vertical axis. This will happen if you are scanning the wrong side of a 35mm slide. This is a mistake they should not be making, and they need to train their staff to avoid it. I sent them a note about this back in November 2023 and hope they have rectified this.
