GBDownside of buying online without first seeing the goods. Living in France l ordered a polo shirt priced up in euros, it was only later that l realised that when converted to GBP the shirt was priced at over £5 more than the the UK price, l was also unaware that l would be liable for import and custom duties of an additional £13. Maybe my own fault but a note stating the UK price compared to the price l was charged would have been helpful also the reason for the difference. I almost bought a jacket before l discovered the different prices £85 for me in France £70 if purchased in the UK. All of this before postage was added. As if all of this wasn't bad enough when l received the polo shirt it bore no resemblance to the description on the website, it is of very poor quality and not what l would expect from the Royal Marines. I was going to return it but with the extra cost of postage involved l have decided to cut my losses and put it at the back of a drawer until l can find a use for it. I will not not be buying from the Royal Marines Shop again.

CAIt has been many years since I went… It has been many years since I went through CTC. Thankfully my brother attended as a visitor to be shown what was available as a bootneck and the recruitment. He was able to attend the shop and acquire a couple of items that I had been looking for for a few years... Staff were very helpful and patient, (as I was texting him from Canada) on what I wanted him to get me... I now have a brochure and have looked at the online store and no doubt will be getting things in the future... Thanks Andy Happy ex-commando!
