Highly recommend Collective for creative small businesses! Collective has helped get my business in shape with LLC filing, taxes, bookkeeping and more (like payroll!). They always keep me updated on deadlines and organized with their portal.

Collective Handles the Hard Stuff Collective handles all the difficult bookkeeping and payroll aspects of running your own business and they do it while saving you tons on your taxes. You're paired with real people who genuinely care about your success and that, in and of itself, makes the cost worth it over and over again.

Stay far away... If you're a creator, stay far away from Collective. Their service is unreliable, and it's impossible to get ahold of one person who is actually able to get anything done. During sales calls, I was promised their tax service would be prompt. I gave them everything they needed mid-Jan and explained I was pregnant (due Apr 1st), so I needed my business tax return ASAP. I was promised it would be prioritized. Instead, it's been over a month, I've been passed around to about a dozen different people, and I still have yet to receive anything I need. Communication is slow. Their dashboard is buggy and annoying to use. I've also received emails from them with other business financial data, so their privacy and security are also major concerns. As a business owner, I don't like having my time wasted. The whole point of turning to this service was to save me time. Instead, I've quadrupled the number of hours I'm spending on the financial side of things because I have to waste so much time chasing them to get anything done. All in all, just a terrible experience, and I wish I'd never used them.

HUGE mistake using Collective - avoid at all costs Using Collective has been by far the biggest tax mistake I've made for my business. I've lost a large portion of my income due to straight up bad advice that Collective provided me with and took no accountability for. They are impossible to communicate with, don't give clear or timely answers, and consistently make mistakes. This is the last thing I wanted to deal with when running a business, this company is borderline fraudulent and I'm considering legal action it's so disastrous. I still can't get a response from them.

They canceled my memberships after 3… They canceled my memberships after 3 months ( got 1 free month because of the Black Friday deal ), but they didn't do the onboarding process till January, and the person who did the onboarding said that they were too new to help me because I have both 1099 and W2, so she said she'll cancel my membership and referred me to try using another company. Since they took the money out of my bank account, so I asked for a refund. I did get 1 month only but I was supposed to get 2 months because they were supposed to let me know the first place before I signed up. This morning I was still trying to get my refund for another month since they never helped me anyway and guess what?? No one cares enough to reply to my email or answer my chat on their Instagram! Don’t fall for anything they promise you to do, you wasting your time and money and yet, they ignore you when you are trying to speak up!
