GBOur Nationwide Experience & Bruey's Story My wife and I have nothing but good things to say about Nationwide Pet Insurance. We have used them for the past ~2.5 years since we got our Bernedoodle doggie, Bruey. Any time we had a question or submitted a claim, we always received top-notch service and genuine customer service. Before I delve into Bruey's story, I wanted to recognize Carl Hymer who helped answer several of my questions on a claims related topic. Carl was very professional, kind, down-to-earth, and knowledgeable. He was also patient and a great listener. That type of quality service goes a long way and is remembered by customers. Carl was a great representative of Nationwide. GBMy experience today was with customer… My experience today was with customer service & web support. I spent quite a while on the phone with Alexis trying to get into my account to file a claim for my pet. She was very knowledgeable, made several adjustments & walked me through making adjustments myself. She was able to get everything fixed & I could successfully file claims again. She was extremely patient, well spoken & friendly. My experience is first class!

GBComplete nightmare!! Complete nightmare!!! I wasted my money. I purchased the wellness plan and tried to have a routine dental cleaning done. After I filed my claim, four months later and multiple phone calls it was denied because the dog had mild tartar. All dogs have at least mild tartar. Nothing else was done except a simple cleaning. However, the mild tartar was labeled a “pre-existing” condition, and I was denied reimbursement. This is absurd that a simple cleaning could be denied under the wellness coverage. I wish I never agreed to have my payroll deductions for months for no effective wellness benefit, although this was promised numerous times by the sales rep. Do not waste your money or listen to slick sales people. This company sucks.

GBRUN! and that's not a command for your dog... RUN! I have a discounted premium rate thru my employer and they screwed me TWICE. You know it's bad (yesterday) when you fire them even with a crazy discounted premium!

GBNationwide helps! Carl is the best! I spoke to a representative named Carl. He was friendly and was empathic about my issue as well as one's pet being a family member. He made clear that Nationwide is an insurance company who cares. There was a misanalysis on my claim and was not paid initially, and Carl went above and beyond to correct the process accordingly. Thank you, Carl! Companies need people like you who listens and sort through details instead of immediately turning down customers without investigating the issue.
