AUPhishing scam emails - Gumtree does not nothing Phishing scam emails are sent through their own system. They do not respond to any emails ( supposedly within 24 h) - Im still waiting 4 days later. Not alone - see others with same complaint below. These individuals should be removed immediately but gumtree does nothing. Advertise with this site at our own risk

AUTheir site accepts you rpayment to… Their site accepts you r payment to advertise ($39 for cars) Then the ad wont load, you cannot contact them! The live chat is always busy 24/7, no phone numbers to ring and they never respond to the emails (5 so far!) Typical dodgy large corporate, Gumtree used to be great until ebay and the slick harvard boys in armani suits took over!

AUTROLLING So many people claiming they are interested in what you're selling. Then hack your account giving your advertisement a horrid title. Same, yet different people asking EXACTLY THE SAME QUESTIONS, lie to you when they go to pick an item up. Then try to blame the seller for not showing up when they were never there to start with.

AUWhy bother listing an ad if you are just going to delete it randomly? Posted an ad and it got randomly deleted. I provided many photos and a very detailed description.

AUA big mess Update 21/04 1) I think gumtree is well aware of the scam situation, and they probably get something in exchange to keep things like that. Even because this is not a recent problem. 2) They made an account on my behalf, without my permission. i found out a profile on a mail that i never used on their website. 3) If you want to close your account you have to send a message to their customer service, and they'll ask you to send back a bunch of absurd infos (you'll never remember all of them). 4) It's impossible to deactivate the button "Allow to track my activity across other companies apps and websites" under privacy. everytime you save and refresh the page, it goes back on active
