GBRented a car through Kayak The rental … Rented a car through Kayak The rental company was Right Car Rental Right Car Rental Worst car rental experience in 40 years. Waited an hour for pick up. Got to the car rental location. There are no people there., You have to go in a little building and talk to an agent on the screen. I rented the car through Kayak. The total was $224 which was a good deal. My paperwork said amount due at pick up $0. But when I got there the agent forced me to take additional insurance at $24.95 per day. She forced me to sign up for their toll packaged $9.95 per day and then downgraded my rental. My contract clearly stated Nissan Altima or similar vehicle. I ended up with a Kia Soul. I mentioned this to her and she said that's what I rented. My paperwork said Altima and showed a picture of an Altima. When I got my final paperwork after returning the car, they added another surprise on the bill, $13.95 per day senior fee. So my $224 car rental ended up costing $567. I would have rented from Avis for $350. In addition, you have to take 12 pictures of the car when you pick it up and another 12 when you return it. There are no employees on site to talk to. ( At least none visible) If I could rate it a minus 10, I would do so. This review is looking pretty epic! Nice!

GBAirlines cancelled an international… Airlines cancelled an international flight. I got no notification from Kayak about cancellation. I only knew about it when I went to airlines website to pick a seat. It was panic mode. Getting to a Chat deal representative was a nightmare. The phone systems sent me in a loop and online chat was robotic and useless. No one got back to me even after days of trying. But once I got to a human, Felipe was the representative and he was fantastic. He fixed the errors, found alternative flight and rebooked everything and called back to confirm that I got the new email and the seats I want.

GBI'm extremely pleased with Kayak I'm extremely pleased with Kayak. Besides for the stupid ads they occasionally try to serve, they are the cleanest, most straightforward platform for analyzing flight prices.

GBONLY BECAUSE ZERO WAS NOT AN OPTION Last night I made flight reservations and paid for them through the Kayak site. This morning (less than 12 hours after I made reservations) I learned the funeral date had been changed, so I needed to cancel and change the reservation. I tried calling but the system did not recognize my phone number or email so the automated system would not let me proceed. I tried the site and was finally able to open a chat. The rep could not find any record of my transaction (from the previous evening) and said they were just a contractor and I would need to call Alaska Airline direct. They gave me a phone number that was completely bogus -1-800-100-1051 - no such service number. I finally looked up the phone number, contacted the airline directly, and they were able to cancel reservation with no problem. Kayak is a waste of time (well over an hour to be exact) and a source of much aggravation. Do not make reservations through them. Zero stars was not an option.

GBI feel scammed? Booked a flight from Chicago to Europe, and specified when I searched for flights that I wanted both carry-on and checked luggage. A small note stated that the checked bag wasn't included in the price, and no information on how to add a checked bag was provided. I figured I could add it after I had purchased the flight, but no. Had to reach out to some other company who actually sold the flight and have them cancel the ticket so I could rebook with a checked bag. I will not be rebooking my flight with them, although it might be cheaper it doesn't feel secure at all. I feel scammed. Canceling my trip would be without cancellation fees according to customer service, but I'll believe that when I see it.
