Stay away. Stay FAR away I'm writing to express my deep disappointment for having selected your company after the lies that XXX sales person told me in order to get my business. 1. I was told that I would have exclusive use of a truck that would take only my things from my home and nobody else's 2. I was told that the same team that picked up my things would be the same group of guys dropping it off 3. I was told that I'd have a 26' truck by myself to fill up and no mention of additional charges for things that would fit in the truck 4. my bid was based on an insufficient estimate 5. I was told that I would have 14 days to cancel my order without a fee. 6. I was told that Vanguard would meet the competitive prices that I received the same day from other companies. In fact, I received one bid for $2800 for a shared truck. Vanguard might not be a bad company but their sales people are.

Vanguard charged us and stood back, to count your money. They were reckless and nonchalant. They are money hungry and will not help you once they have your money. Here’s the process: You call Vanguard, They quote and sell you to any random moving company that isn’t vetted or reviewed by customers, ours was Bravo! Then, when an issue arises they take no responsibility and say we’re not responsible for anything, check your contract which was blank and they had to resend. We were quoted and when the movers came, the prices went up. Like jeopardy; VANGUARD SAYS: it’s not on them look at the contract. We were charged elevator fees, a fee to rent another vehicle because they used an 18 wheeler and didn’t do they’re due diligence when we submitted our delivery address for a quote. VANGUARD SAYS: not on them, go look at the fine print. So after a missed flight, broken furniture, a 21 day delay because they had no one to deliver after accepting the job and CHARGED FOR EVERY FOOT WALKED TO THE TRUCK, an extra hidden costs of $1600.00 that’s in the fine print and not disclosed during purchase. BUYERS BEWARE YOUR QUOTE WILL DOUBLE AND VANGUARD WILL NOT RECTIFY IT OR YOUR BROKEN ITEMS. So after reading this and paying them, what’s the one thing VANGUARD SAYS:????? Not on us, and look at the fine print. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

scam, look another company I asked them to deliver my good sooner because they told me might takes extra 3 weeks, asked me to pay $200 more so I did. And suddenly they give my job to different moving company "Carefree Movers Inc, Ames, IA 50010 their help desk told me someone will call me within a week to give me the date actually will deliver. However delivery guy told me exact date he will deliver my goods and told me 2-3 hrs away and asked me to pay extra $400 because my goods are small and they have to use small truck which make no sense. Gave me no final receipt which cost me $2953.75 that I thought I only spend $2300. Called Carefrree Movers and Vangurd Movers. Call them no answer and no reply for my emails. This is scam I never experience before. I think I will contact better business bureau if they don't reply my email and or they not provided me my final invoice.

This company should be closed and made… This company should be closed and made to refund everyone affected by their scams. We were quoted one price with a balance of $1,000.00 upon delivery. After movers in a u haul loaded our things were told we would 4,000.00 more dollars when out things were delivered. We ask them to take our things off the truck. They wanted to charge 200 dollars an hour for both movers. 01/05/24 an eighteen wheeler pulls up to our new location expecting to receive another 4,000 dollars. We don't that kind of money. They said they were taking our things to a storage facility in Houston and that we were responsible for paying the facility. The free storage only applied in California. So we are stuck with out our things, owing almost $5,000.00 plus storage fee. This is the worst situation. There is 35 years of family pictures and so many things that can't be replaced.

DO NOT USE SCAM DO NOT USE. NOT A-MOVING COMPANY. They specifically said y were a moving company not a broker. Told me to never use a broker. In the end they got $8.000 dollars. Not counting $9.000 for movers to pick up, store and drive to my new home. Biggest scammers ever. How they are still in business is beyond comprehension. I wish I looked at reviews. Over and over people were lied to and lied too. Several days before they were saposed to come I had a gut wrenching feeling about this whole thing and called to get my money back and cancel it and they were rude and said I only get a company credit. I asked for a supervisor. They put me on hold for 15 min then hung up. They should be shut down. They don’t deserve any stars. Even a 1 star is too much.
