GBFGT short sighted, unfair managment position A couple of years ago, we purchased some citrus trees from FGT, as well as a one year warranty. Five months after the purchase. we received correspondence that some of the citrus trees may have a canker disease and the trees that they recently sold would have to confiscated by the Dept. of Agriculture, tested. then destroyed. While the trees looked healthy, they were confiscated by the DoA. FGT said that they would replace the trees....and they did. However, the replacement trees died 8-9 months later. When I attempted to exercise the 12-month warranty, FGT refused, saying that the trees they replaced from DoA seizure did not reset the warranty (so, in essence, I had a 7 month warranty on the replacment trees). When I pointed out that FGT had to replace all citrus trees sold during the affected period, regardless whether under a warranty or not, their management refused to reconsider or even discuss. I said, "OK, fine, but your short sighted, unfair, and unreasonable position would cost you a customer for life and make me a crusader to discourage friends, colleagues, and family from doing business with them." So when I decided to expand my orchard, I turned to a new company (or so I thought): Brighter Blooms. When my new trees stared showing up in FGT packaging, I did some digging and found out that Brighter Blooms is just another brand at the FGT facility. While the Brighter Bloom trees are doing OK so far, I will no longer doing business and will continue my crusade to include them. So.....looking for a new tree/plant organization to do business with. UPDATE - FGT indeed went the extra mile to right-a-wrong. It was explained to me that replacement trees (historically replaced under a warranty) do not extend the warranty period. This was/is their policy. FGT employees that I was dealing with was simply following policy and I find no fault with them. Where the fault lies/lay is with FGT corporate management, who did not amend their policy when they were forced to remove potentially diseased trees to accommodate this unusual circumstance. Since they did not amend the policy, the FGT employees were forced to keep adhering to the policy of not extending warranties (even though this was a mandatory tree removal act). At any rate, FGT did reach out and righted this wrong. I am appreciative and retract my crusade to never do business with them again.

GBGreat quality plants Great quality plants. I ordered a banana tree, monstera adansonii and an alocasia plant. They were huge and I could tell they were taken care of. The only bad thing is that they were delivered terribly because fedex didn’t follow directions in box to keep upright and delivered upside down so plants were somewhat damaged, lost a few leaves and a bit of dirt did spill.

GBAvid Gardener and Landscaper I am an avid gardener and landscaper. Fast Growing Trees is by far one of the worst companies I have ever purchased from. I have tried with them three times, because I just could not imagine the awful trees they sent me were their norm. Now, having received trees with all their roots cut off and all their limbs freshly removed except for the very top, which leaves immediately began to turn yellow and fall off, I say, beware of this company. If you value your time, your energy, and your money, shop somewhere else.

GBAll of the arborvitaes and holly trees… All of the arborvitaes and holly trees I bought died.

GBTrees unnaturally top heavy The problem with FGT is that they price many of their trees by how tall they are. What happens is that the trees are not naturally allowed to grow properly and in fact are made to grow tall by excessive staking. I purchased an Avocado and mango tree from them and both were unnaturally top heavy resulting in me having to basically cut them in half and "re-grow" them. I am happy to report that the trees survived the harsh pruning and are growing in the proper manner.
