Misunderstood? I'm a bit suprised at so many negative reviews. I think a few people have gotten confused... I am liking Audible, I recently signed up to the £10 a month subscription again. Before re-subbing I was able to listen to my previously bought (with credits and otherwise) library on my alexa devices or my phone with no problems. I will say, when my last subscription ended my credits I'd previously paid for were taken, and the sub only ended as the card attached hit its expiry date and I didn't update. It is very tricky to cancel your subscription, maybe best to call customer services or use a web browser, I can't find it on the app. Audible is Amazon, so yes, it will assume you want the subscription to continue if you cancel a card, and might use the account/card you've saved for shopping... would of been 5* but it took my purchased credit's. I might actually call amazon regarding this.

I got charged AUD16.45 for nothing I got charged AUD16.45 a week ago, I just noticed my bank account today, so I called Audible Australia, they checked my account, and there was no such charge on my account as they said with no explanation, why I got charged. Tries to help them said how about my old account I used few years ago, they already locked my old account and no way to unlock it for further investigation, they transferred me to another team, same talk, I asked to take my issue to the next level, didn't allowed me. So, I called me bank as it is unauthorised transaction, cancled my card and raised a dispute. Really bad customer service, unskilled, unprofessional, not useful at all. I call amazon itself asking for help, everyone transferred me to another staff member, i stuck in their loop and got tired. I removed my payment details as you never know when you get charged. *** Update *** Finally, my bank get me my money back.

Generally I am happy with Audible Generally I am happy with Audible, but their membership is a bit complicated at times-- my biggest complaint are two-fold. The first is unused Credits just go away if not used. The 2nd issue is their phone app is a battery KILLER. I often listen with my phone during the day and it will absolutely drain my android in about 5 hours.

Almost impossible to opt out Almost impossible to opt out - and - if you ever buy something at Amazon again, they'll fetch your credit card details and opt them back into the audible app and renew your subscription, without you knowing it. It says in the desktop app that I don't have subscription anymore, but every month, just like magic, they manage to steal money from my credit card. I'm never entering any credit card details on Amazon again, may they rest in ****

Don't purchase audible audio books with your Amazon.com account!!! I ended up with a duplicate account on Amazon Prime when I got a new TV. One was linked to my Audible account. Customer service had me delete the duplicate so I could access my streaming subscriptions on my TV. I specifically asked about my Audible audio books and movies purchases. Rep said it would be fine. I ended up with access to my streaming services on my TV, and my Audible account completely deleted! I had purchased over 185 audio books as of about six months ago (i have a screen shot of my Audible account from that time), and four purchased credits. At $15.00 a credit that is $2,775 in purchased books and $60 in credits that they just WIPED OUT. Contacted customer support for HOURS of time over three DAYS. They ended with "IT will email me in 72 hours to say what they could recover. That was over a week ago. So they basically stole almost three THOUSAND dollars from me.
