Brutal. Just brutal. Brutal. Tried canceling Audible and the process is next to impossible to self-serve. Called the call centre and was placed on hold...and hold...and hold some more. Absolutely criminal how difficult they make it to cancel your subscription. Save your money. There's other ways to experience books.

First class range and quality First class range and quality. But ruined by Amazon and their monopolistic customer abusing ownership I cancelled my Amazon prime account as I was disgusted by the greed of a trillion $ company adding adverts to the service I pay for (Prime video). I bought everything through Amazon. Over £3000 last year, but enough is enough. In return they cancelled and closed my Audible account, stole the £20 in credits and I lost 35 books I had purchased for over £300. Avoid this blackmailing manipulative monopolistic colossus - they will take your money and spit in your face. No recourse. No customer care. Disgusting but expected. We are lambs to slaughter. Even the books I downloaded were now no longer accessible. Beware

I got charged AUD16.45 for nothing I got charged AUD16.45 a week ago, I just noticed my bank account today, so I called Audible Australia, they checked my account, and there was no such charge on my account as they said with no explanation, why I got charged. Tries to help them said how about my old account I used few years ago, they already locked my old account and no way to unlock it for further investigation, they transferred me to another team, same talk, I asked to take my issue to the next level, didn't allowed me. So, I called me bank as it is unauthorised transaction, cancled my card and raised a dispute. Really bad customer service, unskilled, unprofessional, not useful at all. I call amazon itself asking for help, everyone transferred me to another staff member, i stuck in their loop and got tired. I removed my payment details as you never know when you get charged. *** Update *** Finally, my bank get me my money back.

They don't honour their promises I took advantage of a New Year's offer on audible.fr (I was in France) three months trial membership. I was due to get my new credit yesterday, but when I logged on to my account I saw it had been cancelled. I can not contact them to ask what happened - they ignore all my mails. Fortunately I haven't lost a cent, but they decide after the fact to renege on a deal? Don't do any business with a company that treats customers like trash.

how to cancel and return books Books are fine and so I'd the app but if you want to cancel they make it very hard. My advice is use a computer and web browser to cancel memberships and return books as these features are not available on mobile devices or app. Even though they don't tell you this!
