Terrible service levels since GoDaddy buyout Like so many people, I was a happy MT customer for more than a decade but in recent years and since the move to them being owned by GoDaddy, the service is terrible and I'm now actively migrating my sites to another host and will be cancelling. You can no longer open a support ticket, live chat takes hours to get through and if you're not there it's closed instantly. Shame to see a once great hosting company become such a low quality service. Absolutely avoid.

Avoid at all costs! Avoid at all costs! I have been with Media Temple for over 15 years. The service now is none existent since their recent migration over to GoDaddy. Their chat support is none existent. I have spent countless hours just trying to access my client's files. Their cPanel implementation is not fit for purpose and is a total mess. On the rare occasion that I can get through their tech support (usually after being on hold for hours on end) I get put through to a GoDaddy representative that does not have any access to the old Media Temple architecture. This means that I can't even pass their verification procedure as my support pin and email account does not register on their systems. After failing to help me, I am simply put back on old again waiting for the same thing to happen again. Such a shame that the company has been totally ruined. Avoid at all costs!!!

Worst service of all time Yes same as below - just had the worst customer service experience of all time. Horrible. I will not go to GoDaddy either and they now own them and are not taking responsibility. Truly horrible.

MT is terrible — avoid at all costs. MT is a joke. The transfer to GoDaddy has been an utter disaster. I host three corporate/client websites with MT, and with the transfer two stopped resolving URL due to MediaTemple screwing up the MX records. There is ZERO customer support. Ticketed support is simply GONE. Nobody answers chat support — been on hold for hours. I just received a cryptic, worrying email saying "We recently noticed that the following Media Temple services of yours are suspended. Unfortunately, suspended services are not eligible to be migrated. If a service remains suspended the service will be deleted, and data will not be recoverable." WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS MEAN? I can't find anything on MT's site; nothing in my Admin corresponds to this email, and of course, there is no support. So I am fully backing up everything and preparing to inform my clients we should move our services to another host. This is pathetic, and evidently MT does not care about customer data, nevermind website uptime.

After 10+ years, I would give 0 stars if I could I would give 0 stars if I could. I've been with MediaTemple for well over a decade and since the switch to no tech support, it's a nightmare. They upped the prices a ton and the actual service tanked. They've lost my business effectively immediately. If you hope to get tech support, expect a chatbot to be just about the only option. Seriously... a chatbot is the only thing that ever responds or answers the phone. Impossible to get a real human. And the social team on twitter was like, sorry, we can't actually help in real issues. I've escalated through twitter with numerous companies with great success. To have a company like MT offer no solutions or way to escalate to a human even through Twitter is beyond the pale. Gone forever from MT and never looking back.
