David Ihlan and DeWaard and Bode were… David Ihlan and DeWaard and Bode were recommended to us by friends who replaced their whole kitchen. David understood the issues that Point Roberts folks have and took it on with relish. We were extremely satisfied with our appliances. However, we think the stove may be smarter than us. We are getting through it - it took us 45 min. to figure how to cook a frozen pizza the first time we used it. I have referred another friend to David and I believe she has purchased 2 appliances through David.

Easy breezy My recent purchase of a washer and dryer was easy breezy from start to finish. I knew what I wanted and called the sales person, Bruce who was professional and courteous and answered all my questions and followed through each time I had a request. Both of the delivery men were friendly, safety oriented, careful and informative.

First time customers We went into DeWaard & Bode for the first time to purchase a chest freezer. We were helped right away, the freezer we wanted was on sale and in stock so we took it home that day! Because of the sale they were having, we were back that week to pick out a fridge. We paid for delivery and taking away our old fridge. They had delivery times that weekend and were prompt, quick, and clean. Delivery people wore masks and were helpful with unhooking our old fridge and making sure the water line was securely turned off (since we won't be using it for the new fridge.) Excellent experience all around and we will definitely go back for our next appliance purchase!

Communication was awful Communication was awful. They didn't tell me they weren't coming for our scheduled installation as I waited having changed my work schedule. When finally they were coming, I only found out because I called to ask and again had to change my work schedule to accommodate their lack of communication. The range we purchased doesn't properly fit our space which will now cost us even more money. Sure, we could have asked more questions but given that they knew exactly what we were replacing they should have told us about the much deeper dimensions so that we could make an informed choice. The salesperson did seem to genuinely feel bad that this whole thing was totally botched and we were left waiting several weeks beyond promised delivery. But there was zero offer of compensation or any real effort to make us feel better about their company from whom we have been buying appliances for years.

Microwave Problems We had a problem with our microwave under warrantee. The service department was very helpful. Made an appt. and kept me informed as to the tech's schedule. Technician Dakota was very prompt, personable, and effective in fixing the problem. He was considerate re: covid 19 protection standards. We are very appreciative.
