I have unsubscribed from the Ukulele… I have unsubscribed from the Ukulele lessons for a number of reasons: -In my opinion the sessions were too fast for a beginner. -Strumming patterns are not intuitive yet not well taught by the instructor - visual strumming pattern not presented well, perhaps up/down arrow diagrams would be better. -Chord patterns not always shown on the video - I had to look at the instructor's hand to check what chord I should be playing. I've been playing the ukulele for 9 months but found this course difficult and too fast. I viewed sessions many times and thus my progress was very slow. I wrote to you suggesting changes but the only response was for me to slow down the video. Quite disappointed as I was looking forward to this manner of learning. Peter

The level of teaching is superb… The level of teaching in the dobro courses I've done is so well structured. Learn some technique and then learn songs to use tha technique. The level of detail given is great, I was never left confused or unsur. The ability to swap courses gives good flexibility.

Rock On! I have enjoyed and appreciated PHN's on-line classes. Of special note are the Joe K Walsh classes, through which my mandolin playing has improved and my songbook has grown considerably. PHN has some great instructors, including guitar hero Stash Wyslouch and banjo hero Danny Barnes!

Just what I needed After a year in a group setting that wasn’t going in a direction or speed that I was looking for, I made the switch to Peghead Nation. Now I am learning my kind of music at my speed and oh yes, if I need to take a break my instructor is patiently waiting to pick right where we left off. How can you improve on that.

Stick with Well-known Tunes With the mandolin lessons, I did well with the tunes I knew. It's easy to pick out the melody on the instrument when you have the tune in your head. But there was one tune I did not know and I had trouble getting it. I just skipped it and moved on. No other criticism, the teacher did a good job.
