Service was excellent and vents came in… Service was excellent and vents came in as promised. They are exactly what was needed. Haven't connected vents to them so I'll see what the sheet metal contractor says. The powdercoat has a high sheen which makes the vents reflect sunlight at certain angles. It would be better if a flat or satin finish were offered.

after 13-15 years they still perform like it was day one i bought of pair of Active Vent retrofits -- 13-15 Years ago (!) to replace those useless turbine spinners -- i noticed brown spots on my ceiling - surprised to discover they were letting in rain and they were in good shape and spun fairly fast. i just took out the spinners - fit these retrofits in - they fit just right - fastened the standing vent pipe with some galvanized screws - easy peasy. Fast forward to 2019 - they still look great although the label has faded from being exposed to the sun - They do not let the rain in - and i live in the NYC area which saw back to back hurricanes - Irene in 2011 and the devastating Hurricane Sandy 2012. These retrofit vents will prob out last me.

Waited for months and finally had to go elsewhere. We placed an order that we patiently waited for almost 2 months to receive, but after many follow up phone calls made on our part and excuses from Active Ventilation we finally had to cancel and source our fan elsewhere. Every time we called we got an excuse about why the project was delayed. Basically, I think they forgot about it. Several times. When we finally had enough of the same excuse and asked to cancel the order, we were met with an argument and poor attitude. Definitely one of the more strange and disappointing transactions we've had with another business.

Product=5; Service=3 The product exceeded expectations. I bought it online, without any experience in what i wanted for a vent for a bathroom fan but knew i had little room between upstairs bathroom ceiling and roof line. So five stars for the product. Three stars for communication of when the product would ship. After three weeks i called to find out the product would likely ship the same or next day. I can't help but feel my call prompted the shipment. Your system lacked a follow-up email to advise customer of shipment. All i got was the order was sent to manufacturing. Also the ordering process was cumbersome, having to wait on a shipment cost after ordering. Expensive shipping $18 for an $18 vent. For a regular UPS cross-country fee for a part that weighed a few ounces seemed high.

Nice Design Purchased 18 vents for the attics of our townhome complex. We chose these since they claim to be tested to 200 MPH winds since we live on the east coast. However, we have some leaks, which appear to be due to the installation. The roofers did not look up the instructions online, and just used a roofing nail in each corner. It appears they need to go back and add screws like the instructions show. If this fixes the problem, I'll upgrade the review grade.
