GBHired a aerator to fix both lawns Hired a aerator to fix both lawns, paid deposit and fees. Arranged to have delivered on Monday morning and took the day off work to get the job done. It arrived almost in the afternoon, went to go and use it and no tines fitted. Impossible to get hold of someone to sort out, when they finally answered the phone was told it came from Exeter branch not the Wellington one I hired it from, and they unfortunately don’t know where the bits are to make the machine work. Also said they would call me back within twenty minutes with an update, still nothing.

GBMixed experience with hiring a mini… Mixed experience with hiring a mini digger from Swindon Hirebase. Initially the web system seems good, but as per others experience there seems to be a disconnect with the local office who did not respond to the web order with any confirmation, but had taken a £600 deposit none the less. Had to ring several times to get the drop off confirmed. Delivery and pickup were on time and no issues. Lastly I did not receive any invoice after the hire despite email and phone calls, meaning that my deposit was not returned. If I had not followed up would my deposit have been returned? After chasing up finally got invoice and deposit returned. Overall a lot of hassle despite the equipment being good value to rent. Not sure I would use again unless really stuck.

GBHirebase in LOUTH is fantastic Hirebase in LOUTH is fantastic, always helpful and happy to help. The two guys in there go above and beyond what you would expect from a hire company. I was advised not to use website but contact my nearest branch instead and I couldn’t be happier. Delivery and collection was when they said and someone is always at the end of the phone or out of hours on there social media page. Excellent customer service and i will be using them for future projects.

GBPotentially a scam business I think this business might even be based on scamming. How can you take hire fees and deposits for equipment they know they don’t have? Weeks later we have still not been repaid, and despite unconvincing excuses and promises I suspect I’ll be taking them to court. Don’t touch with a barge pole!

GBDo not use via web based orders So the online web system looks like it checks stock in your local branch but it doesn’t. Yet they still take your money up front. Issues then arose in trying to find the equipment to supply my order but only after I rang up as I hadn’t received a confirmation email. Chap in store did his best to help me but the company’s poor IT system had let him down from the beginning. In this day and age when so much is done online it really should be better. Will never use again and do not recommend.
