NLVery bad experience with Dollar Car Rental Early this year we had rented a through Dollar's websit a car in April for 12 day pick up in Atlanta Georgia and return in New Orleans, Louisiana. Arriving in Atlanta we joined the long line at the Dollar desk. We already noticed that check-in was not smooth with many customer. Consequently, we had to wait a long time for our turn. Once it was our turn we showed our confirmation. The Dollar clerk plainly informed us that the car we had rented cost more than $1100 more than our order confirmation stated. The manager was called, but even he did not want to give us the car for the agreed price. We had to call the head office ourselves. After half an hour on hold, a poor English-speaking man told us that he could not help us either. In the end we rented a car from Avis to our satisfaction. Complaints afterwards were also not taken seriously by Dollar. I advise everyone never to rent a car from Dollar Car Rental.

GBSteer Clear!!!!!! When I showed up to pick up my rental after already prechecking in, had to start the whole process over. They charged a huge fee that they said part of was a refundable deposit yet no money was ever put back on my card. They instantly made me upgrade to next class of car at the counter based on what they had available. They charged extra insurance even though my insurance covers 100% for rentals, when I checked in they asked if i wanted any coverage thru them and i said no. Car broke down 1st full day into our rental and we were never compensated or rebated for the time lost without a vehicle. Sent email to customer service with zero response back.
