NLVery bad experience with Dollar Car Rental Early this year we had rented a through Dollar's websit a car in April for 12 day pick up in Atlanta Georgia and return in New Orleans, Louisiana. Arriving in Atlanta we joined the long line at the Dollar desk. We already noticed that check-in was not smooth with many customer. Consequently, we had to wait a long time for our turn. Once it was our turn we showed our confirmation. The Dollar clerk plainly informed us that the car we had rented cost more than $1100 more than our order confirmation stated. The manager was called, but even he did not want to give us the car for the agreed price. We had to call the head office ourselves. After half an hour on hold, a poor English-speaking man told us that he could not help us either. In the end we rented a car from Avis to our satisfaction. Complaints afterwards were also not taken seriously by Dollar. I advise everyone never to rent a car from Dollar Car Rental.

GBWARNING Extra insurance added without consent Rented a car from Orlado airport, prepaid for car via holiday autos. Arrived at the Dollar desk after a nine hour flight, an hour wait at customs an 2 hour wait at the Dollar desk. Added an additional driver and was talked into paying €85 for fuel so I didn’t have to bring back the car with a full tank.. when the additional driver was driving I looked at the rental slip an noticed that extra insurance had been added for glass/tyre protection and accident cover which came to €145. Taking time out of my holiday I went back to the airport to dispute this,but was met with you signed for it by Jose the not so customer focused manager. I have made a complaint via email as you cannot speak to anyone. After 8 days received an email basically saying tough you signed it. I have replied to the email and now waiting a response. Do not use Dollar. To make matters worse i didn’t get the car I ordered I had a lower class car.

GBEnd-to-End Great Experience! On-line check-in (even for non members) made the pickup fast. Our counter person suggested a larger vehicle (V6) since we were mountain driving and even though it was an upsell it was a good idea and glad we did it. Got to choose the vehicle we wanted out of several different manufacturers in the pick-up row. Return was fast and easy.

GBAVIS rent a car drop the ball AVIS rent a car drop the ball, and HERTZ / DOLLAR what there to save my vacation. At about 4am the staff was Quick and easy to get a vehicle at my price range when I needed. The staff was extremely helpful and honest with me and my spouse. I will for now on book my vehicle in Dom Rep with Hertz /Dollar company.
