GBDollar, Hertz and Affiliate don't rent I rented a Van for my family trip in Tampa. The wkly rate was required to pay when I confirmed rental back in August 2023. When I arrived I didn't have the original CC charged so their unfriendly system wouldn't allow the rep at the Tampa Counter to bring up my reservation, which by the way was only to be fuel, taxes and airport fees being charged in April when we arrived in Tampa. Well the rep required me the customer to get out of line and call an 800 number to have the CC changed. Well after the rental completion I was charged the entire cost of the rental of 8xx.xx which included the original charge of 565.07 for rental week. You need to know that unless your renting or picking up you get no real service from Dollar/Hertz you must fill out online form and wait for callback. Well I finally went thru all my CC statements found the unit charge of 55.07 and then a refund of 465.07 they added 100.00 more so my 8xx.xx weekly rental finally cost me 9xx.xx. I would highly recommend not doing business with Dollar Hertz and all affiliates. H.Gilman I'm still waiting for callback to explain they sent refund to initial CC and why they took extra 100.00.

BRNot reliable rental car company During my trip to Orlando, my family and I have rented a car with Dollar and they gave me a car without fuel. I took a picture of it but it was missing the KM information. The car was dirty, without oil changed and no water. Additionally, after I returned the car, they charged me 200 dollars telling that I didn't returned the car with completed fuel. Even with my contest, they refused to cancel this charge. So please do not trust in this company for car rental.

GBThey protect themselves with unavailable customer service. Rep at counter went down the list verbally of insurance add-ons etc, and I stated 'No' to each one. He then said, 'Ok, just sign on the screen', which I did. However, the invoice I got stated I had opted in for extra insurance and other items. On a $640 rental which already included taxes, my bill was over $1120. Upon dispute, they have no 800 number available, Email only-- which they answer in about 2 days, per question. I was given the most generic "you signed the agreement" responses after multiple attempts. My only recourse was to file a claim with the credit card company which, after investigation, they granted the full disputed amount. Never, ever again.
