GBI work with Andrea Georghiou when… I work with Andrea Georghiou when booking many buses with Academy ~ She is consistent and always willing to help and she be commended on her professionalism. We always Request Maggie Maleck, not only does she know our members but she is very kind hearted to our older members. We bring a small cooler of bottled water and a bag of assorted candies, as we return to the bus Maggie is already handed out the goodies before I even make to the bus. Hands down she is The Best and We are Lucky to have her.....Please pass along a Job Well Done for all our trips together. Thank you, Tim Nelson.

GBReckless Disregard for Safety On Sunday November 7th, 2021 a caravan of Academy buses led by NJ State Troopers with sirens going were traveling south on the NJ Turnpike. They were on the shoulder mostly. Presumably these buses were heading to the airport with the NFL Raiders on board after the game. I had to get off the same exit and 3 different Academy drivers tried to run me off the road rather than let me exit safely. These drivers were reckless and almost caused a serious accident all because they didn't want to allow me to exit in front of them. They honked at me and sped up dangerously as I tried to exit. These drivers are the worst. I used to commute to NYC by bus and would NEVER take an Academy bus. They are terrible.

GBChris Bazemore is an absolute miracle… Chris Bazemore is an absolute miracle worker! When I realized I made a mistake with dates for our busses, he perfectly accommodated our needs and then some. We are now able to make our school trip within the dates requested. I highly recommend Academy for school field trip needs at any time due to their prompt and courteous service.

GBLocked on FREEZING coach with sick passenger I am a long time user of Academy Buses in NYC and other cities all over the East Coast. I have always had the highest praise for their coaches and most of their drivers. I had the worst experience EVER while making a transfer from Miami Intl to Carnival Cruise terminal. My mother was ill from the flight, we asked if we had time to get food and were told 5 minutes later to board the bus. We sat on a FREEZING cold coach #11931, (a bus that seems to still be around from 1960) for 35 minutes in front of the comfortable terminal with food without moving or explanation. 40 minutes later, We finally moved only to go 1 gate away to pick up 5 other guests. This stop took another 20 minutes. Arrived at cruise terminal, the driver mumbled something about unloading and I yelled that someone needed to get off the coach. The driver then LOCKED all the passengers on the bus and ignored me while unloading 40 pieces of luggage and my Mother began vommitng on the coach. The driver and luggage helper continued to ignore me knocking on the window and screaming to have my mother exit. Once they were finished with bags, the driver actually paused to drink and wipe his brow as we still waited to disembark. I am a tour guide and have never in 10 years seen such practice by any driver on any coach in the US Canada and Europe. I notice this is common practice because your drivers need to get tipped but leaving passengers locked in a coach without operator inside is gross negligence and very bad practice by your company.

GBThree bus charter to Yankee Stadium We had chartered three buses from midtown Manhattan to Yankee Stadium and return after a football game on 11/9. By contract, two buses were to depart the Stadium at 6:45 p.m. and one at 7:45 (to accommodate those attending a post-game party). As it turns out, all three buses departed at 6:45, stranding the 17 people at the post-game event. The driver of the third bus insisted that all three buses were contracted to depart at 6:45. I was able to protest to the dispatcher who found a 4th bus who arrived at 8:05 to take the remaining 9 pax back to NYC. The other 8 left by Ubers earlier. It seems like the issue was in how the timing was communicated to the dispatcher by the sales area or how the information was communicated by the dispatcher to the drivers. Either way it took 45 minutes of my time to negotiate with the dispatcher and inconvenienced my guests. On the positive note, the buses were quite nice. Richard Fiss
