About Image Tours

Roelof Postmaa, Sr., an educator in The Netherlands, founded Image Tours in 1939 in Amsterdam. He began taking his students and their parents on trips as a hobby. Recognizing people’s need for guidance in planning their travels, Mr. Postmaa developed a successful business hosting tours throughout Europe. He firmly believed that travel broadens one’s horizon and enriches one’s mind. Mr. Postmaa’s son, Roelof Jr., began assisting his father in the family business while still in high school. Roelof Jr. opened an office in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1960 and began offering the company’s signature HEART OF EUROPE ® tour to groups such as fraternal organizations, employee associations, churches, school choirs, orchestras, and marching bands. In 1986, the company began partnering with travel agencies to offer their escorted Europe tours to the general public, thereby becoming firmly established throughout the United States. Today, Image Tours is led by Monique Kasmauskis, the daughter of Roelof Jr., and her husband, Mike. They, along with all the Image Tours associates, are dedicated to providing Superior Value with a Personal Touch. Thanks to this dedication, Image is often praised by both travelers and travel agents for courteous service, meticulous traveler preparation, and flawless execution of its tours. Our HEART OF EUROPE ® tour has endured since 1960, and has been enjoyed by thousands of first-time travelers to Europe. In addition to the HEART OF EUROPE ® tour, Image Tours offers several other fine European tours (click here to browse our tours).

Loved the tours and the tour guides but flight booking is poor Loved the tours and the tour guides. This would have been 5 stars, but Image Tours has pretty lousy air booking arrangements. They keep air routes a mystery until the tour has been completely paid and then they treat those that prefer to book their own routes (because they don't provide the planned routes) as 2nd class travelers in regards to providing airport transfer times and insured flight coverage. Their flight prices tend to be more expensive than booking our own flights. Once the flights are purchased through Image Tour, you are at the mercy of whatever mystery route they have selected. Many others that used their flights regretted the poor flight itineraries they got. They are behind the times as other tour companies allow flight itinerary selection at the time of booking the tour. Room for improvement.

Our European Circle Tour was… Our European Circle Tour was amazing!!!! We saw 7 countries in 15 days and drove 2600 miles. Our bus driver, Ed was a gem, making us feel so safe along the way. Tour Manager, Ger was a walking history book with extreme patience and kindness in all situations. We loved him. He put his heart and soul into his job. You could tell he simply loves Europe and loves sharing his knowledge! A very personable gentleman who made our vacation a wonderful experience!!!

First trip to Europe and London I would have to say that everything we experienced on our Heart of Europe Grand to include London tour was wonderful. We were always looking forward to the next country visited and enjoyed every minute of our trip. Our tour guide, Minni Hoeve, communicated with us throughout our trip. He is wonderful, kind and knowledgeable tour guide.

Image Tours and the Heart of Europe Tour Image Tours made my Heart of Europe tour very worthwhile and enjoyable. It was non-stop from the time we got up for breakfast until we hit the pillow that night. This made the travel from Hawaii to Frankfurt worth the aches and pains of sitting on airplanes for 20+ hours. My adult daughter and I got to see the highlights of the countries we visited and satisfied our curiosity enough or made us want to return. This was her first Europe tour and she totally enjoyed the experience. Our Guide Minne and both coach drivers were personable and professional in all that they did to service the very large group of 37. The hotels were clean and hospitable and many provided views of the countryside which we thoroughly enjoyed. The drive through the Pass was particularly beautiful. The meals were typical European but the breads, desserts and drinks were always excellent. Thank you to all who made this trip possible.
