Excellent service and great trip! We were a group of 6 and made a last minute reservation for a 9 night Lisbon and Villages tour as we was interested in driving through Portugal but knew nothing about it. I contacted Portugal.com and got all my questions answered and booked our itinerary without a flaw. Great suggestions. Wonderful trip specially the drive towards Marvao and up to Guimaraens. Porto was wonderful...heck the all country was wonderful. Very professional group. I would definitely recommend this company and I'm looking forward to book again to visit Algarve next year.

Great trip! We couldn't be happier about our Portugal trip that was put together for us by Antonio from Portugal.com. It was just the right mixture of cultural, historic, and gastronomic impressions. The schedule and the route were compiled the way that allowed us to see a lot of the country, and to have fun at the same time. It was put together exactly according to our specifications: we stayed and ate at the interesting places with local flavor. The accommodations were the best, and just where we wanted to be. Thank you guys for the great experience!

Excellent service Everything arranged for us as we requested without hitches on the Portugal.com end and included hotel, side trips, car rental in Lisbon. Our one private tour to Obidos was wonderful including the guide/driver, vehicle and time to explore which included a yummy lunch recommendation. We were not impressed with the Greyline bus trips. We were picked up at our hotel (not always prompt) and then taken to a central location where there were hundreds of people and many buses going different places. We got on buses according to our destination, not by language, so sometimes the guide had to translate everything into 5 different languages. The buses were obviously not cleaned between trips. We rushed from one place to the next little free time.

A less than perfect experience The booking agent for our Portugal trip was Portugal.com, while the actual tour operator was Cityrama Gray Line. Our troubles with Portugal.com began during the booking process. The response toour questions took days, and some questions were never answered. Nevertheless, we saw a number of positive reviews so we finally went ahead. Portugal.com accepted our deposit. We discovered several days later that this did not mean that our trip was confirmed. By this time, we had booked our flight separately. Eventually things worked out, but the early signs were not so good. Once the tour started, there were a number of irritating glitches, but I’ll focus on the most egregious. Our tour itinerary covered the northern part of Portugal. In choosing the tour we wanted to avoid the religious sites. So when the tour actually started we were surprised to find that the itinerary had been changed. Instead of seeing a number of towns in the north we would be spending a couple of days going to the pilgrimage site of Santiago de Compostella, a distant religious shrine in the north. It turned out that two different itineraries had been sold, but both groups had been incorporated into the same tour bus. The result was pandedonium...everyone of course wanted to have the tour that they had signed up for. To Cityrama Gray Line’s credit, they eventually decided to split the tour, so that everyone got more or less what they bargained for. But, you can imagine the chaos and the irritation and the hours of rescheduling arrangements. Nevertheless, the tour was generally good value, and we have no complaints in that regard. They did tend to cram too many sites into a single day, so that there really wasn’t enough time to wander around and really see some of the terrific places that we visited. We plan to go to Portugal again to see the south of the country, but I have to say I don’t think that it will be with Portugal.com and Cityrama Grey Line.
