Excellent service Everything arranged for us as we requested without hitches on the Portugal.com end and included hotel, side trips, car rental in Lisbon. Our one private tour to Obidos was wonderful including the guide/driver, vehicle and time to explore which included a yummy lunch recommendation. We were not impressed with the Greyline bus trips. We were picked up at our hotel (not always prompt) and then taken to a central location where there were hundreds of people and many buses going different places. We got on buses according to our destination, not by language, so sometimes the guide had to translate everything into 5 different languages. The buses were obviously not cleaned between trips. We rushed from one place to the next little free time.

Great trip! We couldn't be happier about our Portugal trip that was put together for us by Antonio from Portugal.com. It was just the right mixture of cultural, historic, and gastronomic impressions. The schedule and the route were compiled the way that allowed us to see a lot of the country, and to have fun at the same time. It was put together exactly according to our specifications: we stayed and ate at the interesting places with local flavor. The accommodations were the best, and just where we wanted to be. Family Reunion in Portugal Several years ago we had a wonderful small family tour customized by Portugal.com to our specific requests. Our tour guide Nuno was great...historical knowledge impressive, choice of restaurants phenomenal(some of the best Portuguese meals ever), and always kept the group moving with the itinerary. Travelling in a small tour bus was a new experience as we were able to get through narrow city streets and see so much that you would not normally be able to see in any other way but walking. Especially memorable, we travelled down a majestic terraced hillside laden with grapevines on the way to Porto...it was breathtaking! If you are traveling to Portugal and you have limited time to see it all...book a trip with Portugal.com and let them do the legwork. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent itinerary Portugal in Depth Portugal is a country we have discovered and have enjoyed tremendously on the 11 day Portugal in Depth tour. The tour is well structured, good itinerary. We were "wowed" by the sites chosen. They were educational with just enough history. The hotels chosen were luxurious, confortable and we were pleased to try a pousada in Viseu. Meals provided were good and gave us an opportunity to taste typical Portuguese food. Hotel Mundial in Lisbon is well located and close to all activities and restaurants. We were pleased to stay an extra two nights after the tour and to discover Lisbon deeper through a hop-on hop-off pass. Our guide Pedro has a lot of experience, is courteous, and shared his love and knowledge of the country. He made a good team with Luis the driver. Thank you Antonio for giving us above average care before and after the tour.
