GBAn inspiring trip! I came for the knitting workshops, and left in awe of the many creative designers Shetland has produced. The visits to the designers were inspiring. Everything was planned to perfection. The accommodations and meals were very good. The people in Shetland were warm, friendly and helpful. The tour manager and bus driver were wonderful. The farewell dinner I will remember for the rest of my life. When I missed a connection, Irish Tourism was very helpful in getting us connected with the tour. All in all it was a first class experience.

GBFantastic Shetland/Scotland Knitting Tour My second review. This was an exceptional tour from beginning to end! Detailed descriptions, clear itinerary, specific accommodations, amazing & talented instructors were all carefully planned. There was a comfort built into the tour because of the professional planning. There was always someone to answer any concerns or questions without delay. Our tour guide & driver were so wonderful! They were knowledgeable, prepared, warm & personable & an important part of the success of our experience. It was just so much fun & I would absolutely recommend this trip & am most likely to take another.

GBJust do it! My first tour of any kind and I would do it again! Our guide and bus driver were knowledgeable, pleasant and accommodating to our interests. Particularly loved the west coast, Donegal area and Sliabh League - amazing! And, of course, you arranged for the beautiful weather. Saw castles, ruins, gardens, small towns, narrow roads, pastures and miles of picture-perfect landscapes and still had time for so many very good fiber arts experiences that were the common interest of our group. I have talked about you often since returning. Thank you all for your efforts to prepare this tour.

GBA delightful, informative experience This is the fourth Knitting Tours trip I have taken. This tour met the expectations set be the previous three. Tour guide June was knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around; the couch drivers Jim and Graeme were experts at navigating the narrow streets and tight parking lots, all with a great sense of humor. The tour itself was a good mix of history and sharing the knowledge of expert instructors. The food in the hotels and the various lunch stops was mostly excellent--if there's a criticism, it's that the portions were large, with wonderful desserts! I think we would have liked more opportunities to visit yarn shops. We had a few really good ones, but I don't think there could ever be too many opportunities! Overall it was a delightful, informative experience.

GBWonderful Best of Shetland Islands and Scotland Knitting tour My husband gave me the Best of Shetland Islands and Scotland knitting tour for a birthday gift. It was an amazing tour for both of us! As a non knitter there were lots of interesting things for him to see and do. As an avid knitter, I loved the experience of taking classes from the best in Shetland. We had a wonderful lace class with Elizabeth Johnson and fair isle yoke class with Hazel Tindale. Not only were these women so kind, approachable and eager to share their expertise, they shared their lives through stories of their childhood and culture. The tour guide, Kirsty was delightful. She had a lovely sense of humor and gave us lots of helpful information re history and practicalities of Scottish culture. Our tour bus driver, Colin was very helpful and courteous. He went the extra mile and helped my husband make the ferry when he had to leave 2 days early. I had never been on a knitting tour before and I found the others in the group were very welcoming and inclusive. I would book another tour with knitting.com in a heartbeat!
