Fantastic knitting tour to Shetland Well organised tour to the Shetland Islands. The tour guide was very knowledgable about where we travelled and some of the history of Shetland. The bus driver was courteous and helpful at all times and willing to go out of his way, as time allowed, to give us the opportunity to see other things. The workshops were run by very talented women who shared their skill and knowledge in a way we could all benefit. The other tourist places were visited were in keeping with the theme of fibre and were interesting even for non knitters. I have come home with wonderful memories and new skills.

Excellent tour and really special… Excellent tour and really special workshops and visits to folk museums and mills and beautiful small towns and gorgeous scenery. The guide and driver were excellent and the group was wonderful. The food was excellent and we got a good taste of Scottish history from our her. I was frustrated by the lack of communication from the Tour company prior to the trip. And the meeting at the Edinburgh airport didn't go smoothly at all. I also felt that the Glasgow portion of the trip could have been eliminated or redesigned: perhaps a visit to a folk music club textile workshop of some kind.

Knitting in Paradise This was the second tour I have done with Knitting Tours, and it was fabulous! The venue (Parknasilla Resort) lives up to the hype on their website. I didn’t try the swimming, spa or gym, but the walking trails are well maintained and the trails along the ocean offer great views. The only hiccup was the cancellation of a sightseeing drive along the Ring of Kerry - but there was a good reason. A nasty piece of weather named Agnes! But the group managed to have the resort start a fire for us and we received hot chocolate or Irish coffee which we enjoyed along with some extra time with our instructor! An alternate tour was arranged, but knitters can be an ornery group! We requested a speedy return to Dublin instead so we could get to the delightful knitting store “This Is Knit” and they graciously obliged. All in all, a spectacular experience!

Just do it! My first tour of any kind and I would do it again! Our guide and bus driver were knowledgeable, pleasant and accommodating to our interests. Particularly loved the west coast, Donegal area and Sliabh League - amazing! And, of course, you arranged for the beautiful weather. Saw castles, ruins, gardens, small towns, narrow roads, pastures and miles of picture-perfect landscapes and still had time for so many very good fiber arts experiences that were the common interest of our group. I have talked about you often since returning. Thank you all for your efforts to prepare this tour.

First trip wth knittingtours.com First trip wth knittingtours.com. The 10 night tour in Ireland was great in part because of our fabulous guide Ann Marie Hayes and coach driver extraordinaire, Brian. Everything happened as planned and the weather cooperated so we were able to participate in the outdoor events such as Dun Aengus on Inish Mor and Slieve League. The knitting workshops and demonstrations were fun. I particularly enjoyed the visit to Mourne Aloacas. Definitely recommend this tour.
