GBPrompt service, easy to review claims Our rescue puppy has had quite a few issues the first 6 months of his life, and we have luckily had PetFirst to help us pay for his care. Once your claims have been processed, you can log into your account online, where you can review your claims and reimbursement. If a claim is denied, they explain in detail why the charge is not covered by insurance. Overall, PetFirst is very easy to use and makes vet care for sick animals much easier to afford.

GBJust noticed a $53 charge on my card… Just noticed a $53 charge on my card for this pet insurance. It was offered one month free when we adopted a puppy months ago. It didn’t say we’d automatically get charged $50 a month after that. Never agreed to anything or spoke to anyone, just auto charged. Not even sure how they got my credit card info unless the humane society gave it to them..........

GBI have been a customer of Petlife I have been a customer of Petlife, now Metlife Ins. for over 7 years and the claim service is horrible. They just lost my mailed in claim papers. The claim was for the same and only medication for my dog. I had kept a copy, but the receipt hid the line for Apoquel. I explained this when I sent it to them, but it didn't matter that the claim was the same for 7 years. They keep raising the cost of the policy, however they service is the worst ever I can't go to another company as this would be a pre existing condition or I would have left years ago.

GBAutomatically increased our policy coverage and price - no refund Automatically changed our policy from illness to illness + injury, bumping price from $35 to $92/ mo. They apparently sent us an email 2 months prior, but no other notifications. Refused to refund the difference, how is this even legal? What if they had signed us up for a policy costing $2000 / mo?

GBStay away from this one Stay away from this one, if you're inclined to find pet insurance. They are the worst. You can submit a claim and they will try to challenge you, every step. They make you go back and keep bugging your vet for more notes, lie about coverage and then won't tell you one way or another what is or isn't covered. It's a crap shoot. If we weren't wrangled into this company, instead of the one my husband's employer used to have, I wouldn't even keep them. They are too lazy to look at the 12 month's worth of notes they demanded and then try to tell you that they have no idea if the claim is a regular procedure or actually related to the illness. It's so unbelievable
