GBDo NOT Do Business with Santander at all costs. I have an account with Santander for my car loan since 2019. I paid on time every month for four years. I've asked for my high interest loan to be reduced they denied my request. Yes, I should have gone with other lenders but their option was to lower my payments and extend the conditions which I didn't want pay more over time. Santander started with harassment calls on February 21, 2024 but my bill wasn't due until February 24th and has marked me late for payments before my due date for one pending payment, called and harassed me about the one payment prior to the due date, refused to remove the late charge on my account applied before the due date and billed me for the month of March in February and marked that bill late also. They even called me on Sunday the 25th about the payment. It was officially late on that day but it was on Sunday they called about the one payment. There has to be some legal ramifications to their business practices and I guess it's on me to find out what they are.

GBBEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!! I have excellent credit or DID HAVE till I got an auto loan from Santander USA. My credit score was 760 as of 12/2022 its 604 all due to SANTANDER and my son being late. I'm locked out of the account and can't see what's going on.I have endured constant phone calls, text messages, emails. It is obvious it is my son who drives the car, makes the payments, etc so they report me to the CREDIT BUREAUS, ruining my credit. There is a NO HARRASSMENT law in Texas. I am 70 yr old, a widow and raising my 2 young grandsons. And until now I've always had very good credit. This affects me now for 7 years and I won't be able to help my grandsons get a car with my poor credit score.It will be at a high interest rate. I have had ontime payments on all MY accounts for 14 years. My son needed a co-signer for an auto loan because his ex wife messed his credit up.However,I ended up having to sign the loan as OWNER and he the CO-SIGNER .Due to covid he had to skip 2 payments back in 2020. They charged over $200 in late fees. He then continued to make ontime payments just recently a decline in business. BUT Santander was calling me every day for MONTHS from May 2020-Dec 2022. Whenever I called back they wanted me to refinance?? I blocked them from calling me and then in May 2021 I got a letter threatening to repossess the car because he missed a payment . They threatened to repossess the car and auction the car off and sue me for the difference. He had already paid them for 2 months in May which caught him up. Of course it affected my credit score as well. I just spent 30 min on the phone with employee Jeydelid employee #110642. He is 3 days late so they have charged him $241.57 in late fees!!!! I explained because of Covid his business has dropped. She said they WOULD NOT DROP the late fees. I told her the video on their website says "THEY CARE "and are there to HELP DURING COVID!! So that's a LIE!! I'm looking into refinancing for a much lower interest rate but my credit has been completely ruined. I see SANTANDERCONSUMERUSA has tons of bad reviews and NUMEROUS LAWSUITS in over 20 states!!! Wish I'd known that befote signing. Santander Consumer USA doesn't give a crap if you are struggling during covid. They are taking advantage of my son's dilemma my charging extravagant late fees and harrassing me with constant phone 📞 📞 CALLS. I have kept a record of all the calls and text messages. CEO of this company is MAHESH ADITYA.

GBRobbery and abuse They repossessed without contacting me to try to work something out, in doing so there was damage to car and driveway. First said I could catch up payments and pay fees to get my car back $2000.00 then when I called to pay that they decided I had to pay it off $10,800. Oddly close to original loan amount in 2018. 4 years later equaling about $8600.00 in payments made.They gave me 10 days to pay. I did so on the 10th day before deadline, I wanted to get my car, they acted as if they didn't know where it was. Impound lot told me that it was taken to auction already in another state. 13 days after paying in full and hours of phone calls I finally picked my car up, covered in mud with no gas, bumper cover almost falling off, dents, scratches, chiped windshield, items missing, black oily substance all over the car staining paint.

GBTrying to get my refund I refianced my auto loan through another company and am owed a refund on my gap ins, I have been trying to resolve this for over a month. Santander keeps giving me the run around i have requested a lease of lien as this is what i was told to do per the executive office of Santander. That request was rejected. I contacted the ins company they informed me that the previous letter from Santander was not sufficent as they needed a release of lien. The lady in the Executive office told me that I no longer owed Santander anything and that i need to get a lien release submit it to the Ins, company so they can send my refund directly to me as santander is telling me they yet to receive the refund check and it will take the 6 to 8 weeks to refund it to me, Well they are refusing to give me a release of lien! I owe these people nothing no more absoulty nothing they were paid in full on November 8,2021.I do NOT recommend this company to anyone as they will give you the run around. It would be one thing had I not done exactly what i was told to do by their executive office but i did. and still being denied the lien release letter so my next step is BBB and Attorney Generals Office and a attorney!!!! i

GBStay away from SANTANDER CONSUMER USA Stay away from this finance company. There crooked as hell with their fees etc theyve gotten sued for their illegal practices etc..look them up..They have to pay up due to their illegal practice etc..AND the staff are all robots and rude
