This was the first time I did a self directed IRA and I should have planned alot sooner to get it all in line but Equity Trust was fully available to help me get this deal closed on time and funded. When funding my account I was one… When funding my account I was one dollar over the amount to cost me $700 instead of $500 annual fee. Of course I wasn't advised to fund it with $1 less. They said they'd credit me the $200. It's been 3 months of 12 emails and phone calls and still no credit. Everything with them is slow and cumbersome. They're like dealing with the Federal Gov't Bureaucracy! Once this house flip is complete, I'm done with Equity Trust forever!

Time zone differences Great assistance with the selling of a piece of real estate. Documents signed and returned in a timely manner. However, during the closing, some last minute issues need to be addressed. The issues came up after a little after 4pm Chicago time which was after 5pm eastern time, and it was dificult to find someone in ETC's closing department. However, we did find last minute assistance with Gold Level Team.

She was and has continued to be there for me every step of the way of my onboarding steps. She is truly awesome, always professional and very helpful.

ETC is a helpful custodian. ETC is quick to process transactions. They make sure the transaction is legally compliant. They have some very useful tools to review how investments are performing. The staff is knowledgable and friendly.
