Worst bank ever! I am a HSBC customer cutover to RBC. The cutover has been the WORST EXPERIENCE for me with any bank. Problems have been an everyday event. Regardless of cutover related problems RBC's etransfer using Android is a persistent problem. I just does not work. I suggest RBC employees to resign enmasse and move to another bank because RBC is due to shut down as customers like me will talk with moving their money to another better bank. That said, why would RBC not be the worst bank in Canada when its CFO was busy having an affair with one of her junior employees!

Also I have had 4x fraud on my accounts since banking here. Their online service is a joke and decides when and where it will decide to work. Unfortunately all Canadian banks seem behind the times…. Cheques?!!! Who uses cheques anymore? This country really needs to upgrade its banking systems.

I trusted that bank My experience is that fraudulent cheques were accepted, almost $50.000 was taken out with no questions asked by the bank, however after one of my accounts was put into overdraft they wanted me to pay not only the overdraft but the $5 x 2 charges for handling my affairs so badly.

My visa card got hacked while visiting… My visa card got hacked while visiting Europe , so they text me to verify some transaction and asked me to call. Called 4 times and each time waiting 30 minutes on line and after 15 minutes interrogation, finally they said they have to cancel the card , and they will send me one to my adress , waited for 3 weeks but I received nothing , I called again , waiting in line and detailed interrogation again , they said sorry they don’t know what happened and they will send me by courrier within 2 days , waited for a week and received nothing!!!! Called again went through the whole process again !!!! They said will send you the card by ups , should get it within 2 days !!!lost faith

Worst Bank In Canada Worst Bank In Canada. I unfortunately became an RBC customer following HSBC Canada's departure. Roughly two weeks later, I receive a cold email from them asking me about my tax residency. I called RBC to ask some questions about the form and I was treated like an idiot during the call. I told the RBC employee on the call that his answers were not helping me and he became very arrogant and said bye-bye and hung up the phone. Unbelievable! My parents were previously RBC clients and when my father passed away, they gave my mom an unbelievable hassle to handle my dad's accounts. At that time I was not an RBC client, but was helping my mom handle matters related to my father. I asked the RBC employee why she was making everything extra difficult and she said she was following policy. A few months later my mom went to RBC to withdraw her funds from the account and the teller inquired why. My mom replied that it was due to a horrible experience dealing with RBC. The teller didn't respond and handed my mom her funds. In the end my mom moved all her business to Scotia Bank and was treated with dignity and trust. Overall, RBC treats their clients like criminals and morons. I never thought a bank would cause my life so much drama and the sad part is that even though the RBC employees know you are unsatisfied they just ignore it.
