Good luck getting a reimbursement in a reasonable amount of time, if at all. I submitted a claim for a month before this review. It took them 10 days to ask for more info only after I called them. After another 10 days, I called again and they needed more paperwork. In both cases, I sent the paperwork the same day. I am now at 30 days without resolution and another phone call was a waste of time. The customer service people are friendly and helpful, as much as they can, but the online chat never works. I wish I had never left Nationwide, they paid promptly.

Astonishingly bad customer service Astonishingly bad customer service. I appealed a very cut and dry injury claim, that was denied and labeled as an “illness”. Unable to reach anyone by phone to discuss. Now waiting, day 12, for another claim to be processed. Heading towards my dog’s neuter surgery next month with little to no confidence that Metlife will cover my expenses as promised. Ready to cancel and move to a different provider. Epic disappointment!

Absolutely terrible service Absolutely terrible service! Do not expect to get reimbursed promptly. It takes well over 30 days to get reimbursed. You’ll often be asked for more information that IS attached to your claim yet they’ll say it’s missing. They’ll also close your claim automatically without notice or without any follow up as to what’s missing. It’s a constant back and forth with them. Just yesterday I spoke to someone on the phone who clearly articulated what my claim is missing. I submitted the information. Now today I received yet another email saying I’m still missing information. This whole process is beyond frustrating.

I've had MetLife for a year and a half & I'm appalled by the bad reviews, reminds me of paid hacks posting negative reviews on Yelp I've had MetLife for a year and a half. Every claim has been paid, the longest I've had to wait was 2 weeks. They pay for all parasite % heartworm preventatives, with wellness they pay 100% of vet visits and they pay what the vet charges, not some silly limit like $150 for a spay/neuter that you see with some companies. I'm not sure why all the negative reviews but I can't believe they have gotten that many complaints, they have been great!
