I wouldn’t know I can’t even get an agent on the phone while I review my account for signing up. I definitely won’t be using this bank for any actual use moving forward, I’ll probably just leave it as a background account open for no apparent reason And caution any new customers from opening an account with people who don’t answer the phone

What males Varo a bad option is that… What males Varo a bad option is that the app doesn't seem to work properly. Especially Zelle. Have never gotten that someone sent me. And the cash advance feature will lower your amount to borrow for no reason. Never been late with a payment, yet the reduced my amount over 50%. And of course you get no explanation. They say they have lived chat, complete lie! You are chatting with a Bot.and one if the dumbest bots I've ever used. Getting them on the phone is not possible. It feels like you'd throwing money into an empty void and u will never see it again. The fact that you talk to anyone, makes it not worth your time

I'm ok with Varo for my checking &… I'm ok with Varo for my checking & savings account but the Believe card NO. Like Chime credit Builder card they use false, confusing ways to think it's a REAL credit card. They ARE NOT! They are payday loan cards. I was not understanding that whatever I charge would be deducted as soon as my direct deposit disability hit the bank. A regular credit card you charge $200 but your payment is $40. Not so with these cards. AGAIN they are simply a payday loan card.

Completely unhelpful Received a debit card in the mail that I did not apply for. There is no way to contact customer service other than email. I tried calling several times only to constantly be dealing with an automated menu with unhelpful options and computer automated explanations. There is no phone number on the back of the debit card. This bank seems anything but legit.

Nothing discouraging about this online bank! I first got Varo for an extra account. After careful studying of all the features it is now my bank of choice. Varo really is a bank with checking and savings accounts. You can even manage other accounts thru your Varo account. With direct deposit you get 2 days faster as well.
