CAScam and very poor customer service I booked a cab the night before for… I booked a cab the night before for 4.30 am the next morning for the airport in New Orleans. The driver who picked me up said the platform screen was not working and insisted that I pay him cash. Curb also charged me an additional 38 USD and refuses to refund me after numerous interactions with customer service. Terrible, untrustworthy company. Avoid at all costs.

GBTerrible experience with Curb Terrible experience with Curb. On June 5, 2023 I reserved a cab to drive us from midtown Manhattan to LaGuardia Airport, timely arrival being of the essence. Despite assurances from Curb that the cab would arrive as requested, a cab never showed. No one called; no one sought to contact us about any delay or problem. We were forced, at the last minute, to hail a cab from the street. When I reported the issue to Curb, I received no response beyond the generic claim that they couldn't be responsible for "no shows." I also noticed that I was charged $41 and change on my debit card, which was never reimbursed.

GBHorrible! Horrible!! Dropped off at the wrong destination. Driver argued that his maps told him it was the address, meanwhile looking at his screen, & showing him it on my phone it was the wrong address. He insisted it was right. He could not speak English, now I’m In dispute. Emailed curb immediately, they offered me my tip back!! I screenshot the drop off point for proof. Waiting on CC dispute. Curb denied my dispute.

GBTerrible Like others I liked the idea of supporting drivers so tried the app, but I tried it twice and there were no cabs available either time. Plus, the second time the app took about 20 minutes to tell me that, by which time I had decided to walk. The worst part is that they charged my credit card and I am trying to get them to refund me, so far without any luck. Good concept, absolutely terrible execution.

GBCurb a better alternative to Uber or Lyft While Curb is new and will need to improve it's app, it's been a great alternative. I live in Chicago and have been disappointed with both Uber and Lyft. Since they've taken over the market there are much less cabs these days until I found Curb. So far so good, I've used it 4 times and like it much more than Uber or Lyft. It's also a bit cheaper even with a tip for a cab through Curb. Uber and Lyft drivers don't know how to navigate without an app, they often take a longer route or miss a turn or block traffic trying to get over several lanes at the last minute. They're not professional drivers, they do it part time for extra money. Uber and Lyft drivers can't change while enroute like with a cab. Their rates have only gone up since they began. The worst part for for me the app says a car is so many minutes away but takes twice as much time to get to you. The arrival time is quoted sooner than reality, you get there 5-10 minutes later. Bottom line for me: Perhaps Uber and Lyft work well for smaller cities and the suburbs but don't seem to do as well in big cities. I used to walk outside and hail a cab quickly. Now since the market has been changed we ALL have to wait for whatever ride we hail on an app. With Curb I can change my destination, get there in the quickest time, the drivers knows the streets the best at different times of the day, it's a better and cheaper alternative to Uber or Lyft.
