GBThis fall I ordered and installed five… This fall I ordered and installed five Indow Window inserts in my bedroom. Last winter (without my inserts), during the coldest of days I had my wall heater unit set near 80 degrees F, the windows were covered with ice, and I was still cold inside my room while wearing a heat and heavy wool sweaters. Last night's temperature reached -9 degrees F, and strong wind gusts chilled conditions further. I had my heater unit set to 69 degrees F, the windows had minimal to no frost formation, and I was comfortable walking around my room without a hat and only a light sweatshirt. Wonderful! Easy to place, great customer service and minimal/no impact on the architectural integrity of my 1824 home (approved by my state's historic society for use). Hands down best purchase of the year. Thank you Indow Windows!

GBA 43" by 43" standard insert was quoted… A 43" by 43" standard insert was quoted for $330.64. And even said it included installation?? I'm like, installation fee?? Aren't these inserts we install ourselves? The product does not cost much in material and workman ship! I'm not even going to ask about their next step up from the standard version. This is just greedy corporate America at its finest! Not worth it. Better off installing new windows. And by the sound of it, it will most likely not eliminate outside noise.

GBWorth it Circa 1860s house with circa 1980/1990s windows. We ordered 14 inserts for entire home, and they made major impact on drafts and overall temperature control. Had fit issue due to one quirky window frame, and company sent replacement TWICE until it was right. Fantastic customer service, seriously. Got the standard inserts, not the noise-dampening ones, and while not the primary goal, have certainly noticed significant difference in outside sound reduction, as well. Not cheap, but waaaaaay cheaper than 14 new windows in an inflated market with some questionable workmanship right now, too.

GBdid not perform as expected. My Indow windows inserts did not perform as expected. The constant road noise from traffic is still annoying, and there is not a tight seal, I can see space between the wall and window insert corners, also there is a condensation build up on the bottom. The wait for the took for the insert arrive was about three months, but I did received periotic emails on the order status, and Mr. Reed gave great customer service.

CANew windows are really expensive and… New windows are really expensive and can ruin the look of a house. These Indows are not the cheapest inserts on the market, but they are really clever, do not require permanent frames, are made very precisely (none of my hundred year windows were still square) and our home was a lot warmer this winter because of them. Replacement window salespeople promise the world in terms of ease and energy savings and rarely deliver. These are such a simple alternative that do just as good a job.
