GBKept My Aunt's Independence July 2023, my 93 year old aunt was admitted to a rehab hospital in Whitestone, Queens and in order for her to return home and gain the independence that is vital for her to have, I called Stannah Stairlifts and spoke to Will. From that first call to the installation, everything happened exactly how Will said, and for the price. Best of all, my aunt returned home and she loves it and is on it everyday doing what she does -- lives independently! The lift itself is also superb.

GBAfter writing a glowing review of my… After writing a glowing review of my last experience with Stannah Service in Staten Island, N.Y. on April 2nd things changed quickly. I was very disappointed when my mom once again got stuck on the stairlift when it lost power on April 6th. I immediately called for emergency service and was informed there would be a $300+ Service charge plus parts since it was the weekend. Since the tech would have taken several hours to arrive I decided to hold off on service until Monday, April 8th and was told on the phone by the tech that the service charge would most likely be waived as service would be provided during normal business hours. The service tech arrived on April 8th around 9:30am and was very knowledgeable and identified a blown fuse again and several other issues that need to be addressed / replaced. I do not feel it is best business practice that I was again charged a $260 service charge fee after paying a fee less than a week earlier. If their were additional issues with the stairlift they should have been identified by the tech during the first service visit. I hope Stannah reconsiders this service fee that I was charged for the required service call less that a week after the first service call.

GBBUYER BEWARE BUYER BEWARE! yes i signed a contract for six months with Stannah Stairlifts, however after two weeks my elderly mother with severe dementia developed a fear of going on the chair to the shower room. She rode it twice and after that it was horrible crying and fear. On Dec 12, 2023 i paid $3,135 for the six months rent. money is tight for us. i asked if i could return the chair and pay a percentage... no way! im stuck walking around the chair to get up and down the stairs. it just sits, a $3,135.00 obstruction. no help. They offered to come and get it, but i still was paying the full price. so i keep it, so they can not rent it out. sad.... mark 781.775.0571

GBStannah the stair lift company excellent Max was the technician that was sent out to install our stair lift. He was so informative about the stair lift from beginning to end. Max is certainly an asset to your company. He has excellent customer service skills as well as mechanical skills and had answered any question we had asked he also reviewed the whole process of using the stairlift and watched when we used the stairlift to assure we were using it correctly. So far we are using the stairlift with ease and are so glad we had this installed to both of us to use. Thank you again Stannah!

GBGood equipment - terrible service!!! Helpful and vigorous salesperson. Installation went well. But, all downhill from there - service at best very poor. Stopped working on first day - called at 5:15pm, told they didn't work at night. Turned system off, restarted about 3 hours later oK. Set up appointment for minor fix of initial installation problem. Service person showed up 50 minutes late, never called in advance. Set another date - no one showed up this time at all. Called NY office and they said MA would check into it and call back. No call back. Nice equipment; awful service.
