GBI went to Stanton om Madison Ave I went to Stanton om Madison Ave in Fair Oaks with my own frame just to get a plain sunglass lens, no prescription. After filling out the paperwork and paying for this I was told the glasses would be ready in 2 weeks but they always come early. I started checking on the status about the 14th of March, getting a recorded message saying they would be ready on the 20th. That makes it 3 weeks, definitely not early. Today I once again called and I was transferred to a live person in some foreign coumtry. He put me on hold to check on my glasses because there was no info on the computer. When he came back he said they would be ready on the 25th. I asked why and he said that is what he was told and was there anything else he could do for me. I will never use Stanton Optical again. The customer service is very poor.

GBInaccurate prescription Went to the location in Sherman, the staff was actually great and helpful, but I didn't know until just before my exam that I wouldn't be examined by an actual Dr. in person. I'm more mad at myself for not leaving when I found that out. I kept telling the technician that everything looked blurry, that none of the adjustments made were better. I know my distance vision has gotten worse, otherwise I would just carry on with my current glasses, but when I got my prescription it was weaker than what I currently wear and the numbers for my astigmatism are way different. Since I used my insurance I now have to wait until next year for another exam elsewhere, or pay out of pocket.

GBA week before we came they said it was… A week before we came they said it was one price and then when we came they charged twice as much without letting me know. They don’t tell me what I need or require before the appointment. Usually also you can get a reference note the same day but I have to wait two days to. If all of this was required then they should have said it before the appointment, but they didn’t. I don’t recommend, waste time and money.

GBTerrible. Shop elsewhere. I’ve had 5 pairs of glasses re-lensed by Stanton over the last 3 years, and until recently they were all good. But they’ve recently changed labs and hired all new store staff, and the result is terrible. The last set of lenses had to be redone 3 times, and finally they gave up and refunded my purchase. The new lab is unreliable - the store staff admit the lab staff is all new and inexperienced. The store staff is completely incompetent, making repeated observable errors. It is as if Stanton has abandoned any staff training and is hiring anyone willing to work. They’ve lost my business, and I recommend shopping for glasses elsewhere.
