Bad UX, dark patterns, not worth the cost Not only are the restaurants you get access to limited, along with the food options (mostly chicken), they charge your account without letting you know for months and refuse a refund. I’ve lost hundreds of dollars to this passive subscription. A terrible company with dark patterns all over their UX. Steer clear and avoid at all costs!

Terrible experience. Bad company. Terrible. Buyer beware. My credits I paid for were cancelled and I was never notified by email. Read the other reviews, it has happened to sooo many other people. They are just a middle man if you have a restaurant you like just approach them directly to get a bulk discount. Mealpal adds nothing of value you cant do yourself. Very little selection now meals are small. Very bad morals this company has, STAY AWAY!

Wonderful customer service While the app is definitely not my favorite, the customer service for MealPal is wonderful. I didn't realize I was going to be charged for a meal plan so soon after redeeming my free meal, so I called them and asked for a refund, as I had no intentions of buying a plan. They immediately canceled my account and issued my refund! They were very understanding and kind.

I got scammed too I got scammed too. Mealpal used the pandemic to their advantage. In true scumbag exploitative fashion, in moment of crisis, they decide to deactivate and wipe out unused meals and plans, and charge for new plan, without any advance notice! When I wrote them to ask about it, they said it's in the terms and conditions. Way to go Mealpal. Send endless promotional emails to get new business when times are good, but secretly deactivate plans when times are bad. Couldn't even send one warning email to customers to spend down or cancel plan to avoid losing meals or undue charges. Disgusting!

Completely deceptive and poor billing… Completely deceptive and poor billing practices. Will happily charge you £12 for a 'trial', barely have any offerings available when you open the app (most of the time it says come back later), then if you don't use your trial credits in a few days they expire (meaninglessly, just to suck up your money for nothing) and they won't refund you. Basically just a cash grab. I wish I'd looked at the reems of other 1 star reviews saying the exact same thing before I joined.
