AVOID SIGNING IN. THEY WILL SCAM YOU I signed up for a promotion using my husband's credit card, and everything seemed fine on the first day. However, on the second day when I attempted to redeem the offer, the app stopped working, and they removed the promotion. Instead, they tried to charge me the full amount since my husband was already enrolled. To make matters worse, when I decided to cancel the subscription, they not only charged a cancellation fee but also billed me for the food I hadn't even received. The restaurant food portions are disappointingly small compared to the full price. I strongly recommend against signing up for this promotion, as it's not worth the trouble and expense

Review from a Long-Time User As someone who's used MealPal for several years, I've seen a change in value. Previously, lunch options often came under $7, making it a budget-friendly choice. However, they have introduced a complex credits-based scheme with hidden expiry terms. The savings are negligible once you factor in the deceptive tactics. When I did the math, I would have been better off purchasing lunch directly from the restaurants. Alternatively, seek out individual restaurant loyalty programs and opt in to their loyalty benefits instead. There is no risk, and you'll save more.

I got scammed too I got scammed too. Mealpal used the pandemic to their advantage. In true scumbag exploitative fashion, in moment of crisis, they decide to deactivate and wipe out unused meals and plans, and charge for new plan, without any advance notice! When I wrote them to ask about it, they said it's in the terms and conditions. Way to go Mealpal. Send endless promotional emails to get new business when times are good, but secretly deactivate plans when times are bad. Couldn't even send one warning email to customers to spend down or cancel plan to avoid losing meals or undue charges. Disgusting!

Good value and quick but not all restaurants are good Very good value and quick to get food. But some places give tiny portions and there isn't any ratings on the site for restaurants or meals, despite giving feedback on each meal eaten I tend to go to the same 3 or 4 places most of the time. Restaurants tend to rotate meals most days but do not really change what's on offer over any extended period so it can get boring But overall the value and time saved in line makes it very worthwhile

MP is a five star service, credit system not so much MealPal is a five star idea and service. However, I took off one star only because the new credits system is less favorable than the old system. It requires some juggling of the numbers to make sure there are enough credits to last the whole cycle, whereas it was a no brainer before. Perhaps consider switching back?
