The Honest Bison was founded on one very simple truth: we believe everyone deserves access to food they can trust. Our goal is to bring more unprocessed, naturally-raised, quality meats back into people's kitchens and, more importantly, bring transparency back into today’s food system.

Great but know what your ordering... Ordering & delivery great, but meat cuts were ehhh at best. I was expecting slightly more aggressive looking tomahawk like listed on site & instead got these I guess ordinary cuts, guess I expected more along with how much I did spend. But, meat was great when cooked, excellent flavor profile, might order again here in the near future. Again, thanks keep on doing great things with your meat products.

Excellent quality meat!! Excellent quality meat!!! that arrived promptly and still frozen solid. It's important not to overcook bison, but we took care and the results from the ribeye & NY Strip cuts were just amazing! We used some for bison tataki & just ate the rest with roasted carrots & taters. We used an herbal dry rub of thyme, oregano, olive oil and black pepper (no salt until after cooking to keep the meat moist). So good!

The meat is very flavorful The meat is very flavorful. The 1st time that I cooked a Bison Brisket, I undercooked it, so it turned out a bit tough and chewy. The next time that I cooked one, I cooked it more like I would a Beef Brisket - Low & Slow (at least 2-hours per pound of meat, with a layer of BACON on top) with Smoker internal temperature around 180 to 200 degrees F with meat temperature slowly ramping up. At about 1.5 hours remaining and meat temperature around 150 degrees F, I increased the Smoker internal temperature to about 230 degrees F aiming to get the Brisket temperature up to 205 degrees F for the last 30-minutes to break down the Collagen. The result was WONDERFUL! Everyone who tried it LOVED it, even people who claim that they don’t like “Wild Meat”.

The customer service is excellent The customer service is excellent! The Bison Filet, Elk Tips (bite-size), & Elk Burgers are our favorites so far. The steaks are tender, juicy & taste fabulous!!! We haven't tried everything yet in our subscription box. Very happy with the quality and taste. Cooking & recipe cards were included in the box making the first-time cooking/grilling much simpler. Thank you to The Honest Bison company & staff for making our experience wonderful!
