Great after thorough adjusting We used the Piggyback Rider + the waist belt on our roundtrip in Newfoundland and Tatra mountains in the Slovakia and it worked very nice. Note that you really have to take the time to adjust everything exactly to your size, otherwise, it can be quite painful experience. But assuming you did it right, it's a great way to travel even in very hard terrain (like a mountain slope full of large wiggly rocks) with your little one.

The weight distribution makes giving a piggy back ride much more enjoyable for carrier and rider. We use this for hiking when our 4 year old tires out and she love it.
